A stylish restaurant that’s furnished with a modern eye, it’s not just the interior that’s the result of contemporary thinking. The seafood is sourced from the nearby south coast, and all the produce used is locally reared and grown.
Members calling in advance with a tastecard can enjoy everything on the menu at an excellent price, providing the perfect excuse to feast heartily on something from each section of the menu. This is highly advised, what with the menu bursting with tantalising dishes.
Begin with one of the exemplary appetisers, such as the rich beetroot and goat’s curd, adorned with a hazelnut crumb, the delectable pig’s jowl and ham hock terrine, complete with black pudding and pancetta, and the irresistible scallops, partnered with aubergine caviar and a squid ink granola.
Continue onto the main course, where a concise list of delicacies await. Particularly merit worthy meals include the refreshing tomato and wild mushroom risotto, mixed with a crispy quail egg, spinach and goat’s curd, the sublime citrus roasted hake and chorizo, served with a bouillabaisse sauce, ratatouille, and a baked potato and seaweed croquette, and the succulent braised oxtail, accompanied with a 4oz ribeye steak, shallots and sweet potato gnocci.
Located close to Brighton, with Sea Life, Brighton Beach and the Churchill Square Shopping Centre nearby, Hove locals have plenty to do within a stone’s throw and Brighton diners don’t have far to travel to indulge in some truly exquisite fare.
