50% off at Black Cat Cafe

Located on Mill Road in Cambridge, within a delightful complex known as The Broadway, Black Cat Café is a quaint little establishment that provides locals and visitors to the Cambridgeshire county town with a fabulous place to relax.

Established to bring the artisan food style of the cafés of New Zealand and Australia, the cosy little eatery is a haven for the ex-pats of the two countries, as well as for those just wanting pleasant food in charming surroundings.

This is now extended to tastecard members, who are able to enjoy all of their exquisite fare with a fantastic discount when they call in advance and produce their card upon arrival. The amiable breakfasts offer much for the early riser, where the yoghurt, mixed berry and rosewater syrup compote is superbly contrasted by the Black Cat big breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon and all the trimmings, and with the tasty lunch time and early evening options guests are catered for at any time of the day.

Ideal for the diner on the go, the sandwich and Panini choices are as scrumptious as they come and include a glorious smoked salmon and cream cheese number, a hearty bacon or sausage ciabatta, and a delectable basil pesto, goats cheese and sun blushed tomatoes combination, while there are also a variety of dishes for those with a more gluttonous appetite. Particularly enticing examples of such can be seen in the mouth-watering sticky barbecue pulled pork burger, the fiery Huevos Rancheros, eggs poached in a spicy tomato and pepper sauce, and the flavoursome spicy beans and scrambled egg burrito, though these are subject to availability on any given week.

Acting as delicious conclusions to any feast, or indulgent snacks in their own right, are the cakes at Black Cat Café, which are all handmade using only real butter and organic free range eggs and range between the likes of the everyday chocolate fudge cake to that of lemon and lavender, ensuring that anybody who enters will leave satisfied.

Be it for a casual afternoon out with a colleague, a catch up with a close friend, or a midday repast with the significant other, all are offered a warm welcome at Black Cat Café.
