Sat on Gloucester Road in the Kensington area of London, Zenobia treats locals and visitors to the city with some fabulous Lebanese cuisine.
Named after the warrior queen who conquered Egypt and challenged Rome, the restaurant certainly packs a punch when it comes to flavoursome fare.
All of the dishes found on the a la carte menu at Zenobia are available to tastecard members at a superb discount when they call in advance with their card, leaving a bit extra in the wallet for a blend or two from their extensive list of cocktails. Begin with one of the exquisite appetisers, where there are a range of hot and cold mezze style plates available, such as the moutabbal, a grilled aubergine puree mixed with sesame paste and lemon juice, the chicken pastilla, baked in a thin pastry with almond and cinnamon, and the traditional favourite that is the falafel.
When it comes to the mouth-watering mains, there is a wondrous selection on show that promises to delight any appetite and palate. Particularly enticing examples of such can be seen in the scrumptious lamb tagine, which is slow-cooked and topped with prunes, apricots and almonds, the succulent grilled fillet steak, and the glorious chargrilled lobster tail.
Found just a stone’s throw away from the fantastic Natural History Museum, the iconic Kensington Palace, and the famed Hyde Park, the Restaurant at Zenobia makes for the ideal place to conclude a day of activity.
