Opened in June 2015, Cool beans Coffee and Bistro is a delightful establishment that can be found in the Kentish town of Chatham.
Part of the Medway towns, Chatham is an historic riverside location just a short drive from London.
Cool Beans Coffee and Bistro opened its doors to the town with the aim of serving the finest Italian coffee and a menu of locally sourced seasonal cuisine, in order to attract a good mix of local residents and visitors to the town. This has certainly been apparent, as the venue has been successful in attracting a long list of customers, which now includes tastecard members, who are able to enjoy their fabulous food at a wonderful discount when they call in advance and produce their card upon arrival.
Everything is cooked fresh on the premises, and the menu has been designed to both entice and delight the appetite. Starters might include a delicious plate of homemade crab cakes with a mayo dressing and leaf salad or stuffed bell peppers with rice and vegetables and topped with cheese. To follow, a fresh pan fried pork loin with herb mash, wilted spinach and chips or homemade tortellini filled with chestnuts, topped with a mushroom and cream sauce and served with garlic bread. To round off a delectable dessert like caramel cheesecake with caramelised bananas provides the perfect ending. Diners are invited to bring their own bottle and the restaurant charges a very tiny corkage fee.
Located just a stone’s throw from Chatham’s Historic Dockyard, the town’s top visitor attraction, it’s no wonder that Cool Beans Coffee and Bistro is such a popular choice amongst those visiting the town. The dining area is a modern little space with fresh, neutral colours whilst soft leather sofas provide a comfy spot in which to enjoy a coffee and bite to eat.
