Truly a hidden gem in the quaint village of Parkgate, just off junction 5 of the M2, is the charming Daniel’s at Tweedies, nominated the Best Newcomer at the LCN food awards after being open for a mere six months.
Spearheaded by the titular Head Chef Daniel Harvey, a Great British Cookbook featured, Michelin star trained chef with a wealth of creative experience under his white hat and a finalist in the ‘Young Chef of the Year’, Daniel’s at Tweedies offers guests an opulent dining experience. Daniel's was awarded the prestigious Taste of Ulster plaque for his ethos of promoting local produce and his focus on 'From Field to Fork'.
Now accepting the tastecard, members who call in advance can sample some utterly sumptuous fare at a fantastic price, providing the perfect excuse to indulge in further resplendent dishes, such as one of the exemplary appetisers or a divine dessert.
Begin the experience with one of the superb starters, such as the tantalising salt and chilli chicken, partnered with an Asian salad and curry mayonnaise, the rich celeriac and truffle oil veloute, accompanied by a treacle wheaten bread, and the scrumptious Irish rope mussels, served with a red Thai curry cream.
Continue onto the main courses, where a diverse array of delicious dishes are available. Particularly merit worthy meals include the irresistible poached and roasted Ballyeaston chicken, paired with textures of carrot, fondant potatoes and a wild mushroom jus, the hearty Hop House 13 battered haddock, matched with mushy peas and double cooked chips, and the eclectic Rare Breed Taste of Pork, an ensemble of braised shank, pressed belly and roast fillet of pork with burnt apple and Gracehill black pudding.
An ideal location for any occasion, Daniel’s at Tweedies would be perfect for special occasions that require a luxurious meal with friends and family.
Please note: Members must book over the phone. The offer is only available on the a la carte menu. There is a set menu on a Sunday so the offer will not be valid then. Daniel's is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
