Having recently changed hands to the passionate owner Bruno and his family, La Veranda now offers the diners of Southport with an enchanting venue in which to enjoy an exquisite meal.
Taking inspiration from Mediterranean and Italian cuisines, La Veranda adheres to the Italian phrase of ‘mangi, bevi, ti diverti’, which roughly translates to eat, drink and enjoy.
With this simple ethos in mind, guests would be right in assuming that La Veranda makes for a wonderful spot for any occasion, especially when it calls for sumptuous Mediterranean fare, and when tastecard members call in advance with their card they can enjoy their fill at an excellent price.
Begin the experience with one of the scrumptious starters, including the irresistible tempura king prawns, partnered with rocket leaves and a sweet chilli dip, the delectable mixed focaccia, homemade Italian breads adorned with an olive oil and balsamic glaze, and the tantalising La Veranda Tower, brioche topped with black pudding, a poached egg and a Béarnaise sauce.
Continue onto the main courses, which cover all manners of palate pleasing dishes. Particularly merit worthy meals include the classic vegetarian pizza, topped with mushrooms, peppers and olives, the succulent 120z Crown of Fillet, matured for 21 days and available with such seasonings as crushed garlic and sea salt and bay leaf, and the eclectic Platter Pescatora, a seafaring ensemble of halibut, salmon, seabass and jumbo king prawns.
Capable of seating approximately 180 diners and serving an array of diverse and delicious dishes, all walks of life are sure to enjoy their visit to La Veranda.
