Spearheaded by the passionate Head Chef Gareth Cox, the menu at The Honest Miller is awash with modern flavours and fresh dishes, all made using locally sourced ingredients from suppliers such as Forge Farm Meats in Tunbridge and RJ Kingsland Vegetables in Maidstone.
Begin the experience with one of the superb starters, such as the rich caramelised shallot and chicory tart, complete with watercress and pickled beets, the irresistible dressed south coast crab, paired with toasted spelt bread and a citrus mayo, and the sumptuous Forge Farm goose & plum Scotch egg, finished with chestnuts and a bacon & watercress salad.
Continue onto the main courses, where mouth-watering marvels await. Outstanding selections include the succulent hazelnut crusted loin of venison, served with herb enriched dumplings, piccolo parsnips and a blackberry jus, the wondrous Forge Farm breast of wild duck, matched with French beans, sweet potato rosti and a caramelised clementine, and the hearty Crispy Stone Gate goats cheese and Portobello mushroom burger, adorned with a sweet red onion chutney and triple cooked chips.
Finish the meal with one of the divine desserts, featuring the likes of the opulent white chocolate & passion fruit trifle and the sublime mulled wine spiced plum crumble, and round off an unforgettable meal at The Honest Miller in style.
