Directly opposite the tube station, this rustic venue promises to charm your guests from the moment they enter.
The ground floor recalls a Belgian beer hall with assorted dark wood seating meanwhile, upstairs in the candle lit restaurant, diners are served French inspired food in a relaxed yet energetic atmosphere.
Please note: The tastecard offer is 2 for 1 across all courses ordered (starters, mains and desserts). This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or set menu. This is an offer for 2 people per taste card, although multiple cards can be used for your party – therefore if 4 people dine and present 2 cards, 2 people will enjoy the relevant free courses. Customers are required to call and book in advance of visiting, mentioning the tastecard promotion. The tastecard must be presented at the time of requesting the bill. " We used our tastecard at Auberge last night. The venue was good and the staff, friendly, attentive and efficient. The food (we each had a starter and a main course) was the most bland and tasteless meal either of us has eaten for a long time. We asked if fries could be substituted for the potatoes on one of the main dishes - we were told that was ok but were then charged for the fries as a side order. Our total bill was over £60 - which we felt was very poor value for money based on the quality of the food. If we had paid full price over £80 we would have been even more alarmed. Needless to say we will not be returning.

The portions were huge and very tasty. Recommend the herb crusted lamb and the mussels. Will defiantly go back if in the area. "

I booked this restaurant with my boyfriend after seeing all the great reviews but was disappointed. Me - Blue cheese salad/lamb. Him- calamari/lamb. We both had Tarte Tatin for dessert. The starters were fine but the mains were not! My lamb came over done (this was graciously replaced with profuse apologies), the dauphenois potato was very garlicky and the spinach was very over cooked. The Tarte Tatin's were vile! The pastry was not puff pastry - it was stodgy and flat. The apple tasted as if they had been previously dried and there was no caramel. The staff did take our drinks off the bill and were very helpful. However I would not go back and I will be warning friends away.

"Right around the corner from my graduation venue I booked this place quite last minute for 6 people and I must say the service was lovely.
Everyone was very impressed with the food-very rich in flavour and plenty of it!
They charged a £10 corkage for my bottle of bubbly which we thought was reasonable as we probably saved more than this in a round of drinks!
Definitely one to recommend and return too!!

"I Loved this place went there with my girlfriend enjoyed a mussel starter (we ordered the main course to share) which had a variety of different sauces I highly recommend the Thai one. It was great value and very filling.
I had the duck main and my girlfriend had the pork. Both were served in generous portions and were lovely!
We were too stuffed to try and eat dessert so sorry can't review!
We had wine with our meal and it all came to around £40
I have used my tastecard at a variety of places but this has to be one of the best!
