2 for 1 at The Courtyard Restaurant @ The Talbot Hotel

This 3-star hotel’s attractive original structure dates back to the 1630s. The building’s attractive period features include old oak beams, stuccoed ceilings, the half-timbered black and white rear façade and the old bells used to call the servants.

The Courtyard Restaurant menu benefits from high quality, locally sourced ingredients, all of which are prepared fresh by a highly trained and experienced team of chefs. The restaurant focuses its attention on traditional English cuisine with modern flair and the service is attentive yet unobtrusive.

The Courtyard offers an ever-changing seasonal menu that reflects the best in modern British cuisine and during the summer months customers can dine al fresco on the courtyard itself.

" Took a party of 4 to the hotel and individually speaking was the worst meal we had ever had.

Were the only ones in the restaurant, the service was slow and the food was appalling both in taste and looks. Got our doubts whether there was a chef on sight.

Give this place a wide berth.

Go around the corner where you will get a superb meal at the French Connection. "
