A group of 6 of us went on a Wed night. Some of us had been before and had no problems with service. First, one drink was brought way before the others. Then the wrong beer was brought, twice. This was partly our fault for not reading the menu properly that said the 2 draught beers were not available in this particular branch of the chain, but the waiter did not point this out, he just brought different beers, twice. We ordered red wine, they brought white. We got all the right drinks after about 20 minutes. We got 3 of the 4 starters we ordered. We asked the manageress, who had come over to apologise for the shambles so far, to check our mains had been ordered. She promised she would. About 45 minutes later, still waiting for our food, she came over again and apologised again and said our mains had not in fact been ordered. To their credit, they knew we were pretty hacked off, and they gave us all the drinks free and we paid the 50% Tastecard bill for the food, so we actually paid about £35 of an originally £135 bill. The food was fine, and I do believe this was an anomaly: they said the waiter was new, and on trial, etc, hopefully sacked now....It wasn't a disaster, but would have been had it been a first date and not a bunch of friends!

" Fire & Stone is THE place to use the tastecard, especially for those who use it regularly. It is the perfect exercise in tastecard-ship. Everything is 50%, can be used with a sizeable group of friends, the service charge is optional, they won't snoot at a request for just tap water. It's a great casual place who are not fazed by the card and what is more, the food is awesome! Inventive pizzas, volume in toppings and great salads. My friends and I have been going almost daily!

Always good value... You do need to book, but I did that 30 mins before arriving (in fact used the Iphone app to get number and called as I walked there from Blackfriars!) and all was fine. Huge variety of 'different' pizza's... reasonably quick service.

Saturday lunchtime pizza around 1.30pm.
The Pizzas are great - very different than the normal Pizza Express pizzas. Fab garlic bread and good sized portions for kids. The 50% tastecard discount is a good one here.
Only downside for us was the long wait - nearly an hour for the main pizzas. However the issue was very well dealt with by the manager - we'd been forgotten. So no real complaints from us at the end of the day.
In summary: Great pizzas, good for kids. "

Service was excellent although they do add a 12.5% service charge to the bill so be careful you don't leave an additional gratuity!! Quality of the food was superb, piping hot and the best pizza combinations in London. Main course, garlic bread and soft drinks for 4 people and change out of £30 - bargain. Highly recommended!

"I like pizza. But I like Mexican food better. So a pizza joint that serves chilli con carne with peppers and jalapeno on top (the "Acapulco") is a winner for me. You can get boring old regular pizzas everywhere.
So I appreciated being able to get something a little bit different. My companion had the "Jakarta". All sorts of unusual toppings were available. And We're looking forward to returning to try some more.
The service was relatively prompt, helpful and pleasant.
