This old pub restaurant has seen several guises in the past few years but has reverted back to its original name under new ownership. The modern decor features cheery cream and scarlet colour scheme with lots of wood detailing.
All the food at the Salt House is home cooked they make their own pasta, bread, burger, buns, soup, puddings. There are two dining areas (at the back and upstairs) serving a good range of uncomplicated hearty gastro pub fare such as casserole of corn fed chicken, cannellini beans and winter greens.
The stylish terrace outside has a cover, so that it can be used in all weathers, a truly pleasant place to relax over a glass or two of Pinot Grigio especially when live jazz is played on Sundays.
And to top it all, the service is attentive without being smothering.
