My colleagues and I had booked this restaurant as part of a team away day. When we first arrived at 1.30pm, we were the only people in the restaurant, so we hoped that we would be served quickly.

We were disappointed with the menu. There were only three vegetarian options and the kitchen was adamant that they could only cook what was on the menu. We ordered our drinks and, when they came, the wine had clearly not been chilled.

Having ordered our starters at about 1.45, we were dismayed when, at 2.30, they had not arrived. We ordered two bruchettas, a melon and parma ham, and a portion of prawns - hardly things that need hours taking over them! When the starters finally arrived, the portions were tiny - especially for the price.

We finished the starters and waiting for our main courses, which did not arrive until 3.30pm, by which time one of our party had had to leave to catch a train, and the other had to absolutely wolf her lunch down in order to catch her train. We asked our waitress what the cause of the hold-up was but, unfortunately, she spoke almost no English whatsoever, and so was unable to communicate with us. When the mains finally arrived, the portion sizes were tiny for the price, and one member of the party received the wrong meal. When it was sent back, we were told that it would only take four minutes to make a portion of what we had ordered, which begs the question of why we had to wait so long in the first place.

We were offered dessert but declined, since we had already wasted nearly three hours of our day in the cheap and tacky atmosphere of the restaurant. We asked for the bill and handed over the Tastecard, and the bill was returned without the discount, which caused another hold-up whilst this was rectified.

Overall: bad-quality food, dismal waiting staff and frighteningly expensive for what we were given. Never again. "

Excellent and extremely friendly staff, best I've seen so far in a restaurant in London. Food was above average, had the beef burger, beef was really great, but burger could have got a better filling and chips should have been fried for a little longer. Desert with brownies and ice cream was a bit disappointing after the main - there were two or three tiny brownie pieces in an over-frozen standard ice cream. "
