" After reading other reviews on this place I was rather anxious ahead of our visit for a friend’s 30th.

There were only 8 of us on our table and we were the only people in the cafe which was nice.

The prices were reasonable, £12.50 for jerk chicken with rice and peas.

Taste was also lovely, had bbq wings for starter and jerk for mains. Not one person on table had any complaints about the food. Although we mostly ate jerk chicken and goat curry!

Saw on the outside a "Under new management" sign so that's what could be the difference!

Food took a little while but we weren't in a rush and taste was worth it. Staff were friendly and even brought out a jug of rum punch FOC!

Would definitely go again, although I would try some of the many other dishes they have to offer in future!

Oh also don't forget to take cash as they don't accept card! "

" First and last visit sad to say i was expecting big bold flavours and tasty food the food was bland not much substance and i don’t want to go out for something to eat and keep hearing a ping of a microwave going not much service more of a family gathering in the kitchen where the food was being prepared, quite off putting. I have eaten plenty of west Indian food and growing up in a west Indian house hold you how things are to taste sorry, this just didn't have any flavour ,everything was over cooked and lacked flavour. "Our first visit to Caribbean food, did not know what to expect. We were made most welcome, thoroughly enjoyed the food and very relaxed atmosphere - easy to miss when looking for it, but please persevere, it will be worth it - very different to anything else we have eaten - lovely!! Good luck from the 4 pensioners, and thank you to the staff that were all lovely. June "

"Fantastic service and delicious food all under one roof. Took my mother and sisters for Mothers day and it was just perfect. Highly recommend for a good and traditional Caribbean meal. Also they play soft music which adds to the atmosphere :-) Thanks for a wonderful Sunday Afternoon Lunch! Deborah "
