Barcelona Tapas Bar and Restaurant, which opened its doors in June 1998, is located on Lordship Lane, a main road leading into the village of Dulwich, which is less than 5 minutes away.
Sunny decor combined with smiling service, reliable food & a well-thought-out wine list succeeds in wooing diners from far & wide.
The restaurant was formerly known as La Pharmacie, due to the fact that it was originally a real Pharmacy. The restaurant still contains its original antique wood and glass cabinets partially along two walls.
The interior has been extensively renovated to bring the decor and ambience in line with the rest of the Barcelona Tapas Bar and Restaurants, including the mosaic lizard.
This site also has the added bonus of a terraced area on two sides, where you can wile away the hours sipping on a drink or dining under the stars as you watch the world go by, giving it a real feel of being in Spain!
A great attitude towards children makes this an ideal place for a family outing at the weekend.
The tapas include many familiar favourites as well as specialities from all the regions of Spain. Try dishes like the Andalusian pork and bean stew with chorizo, Galician-style octopus, and Catalan grilled peppers, onions and aubergines.
The Spanish wine list is a treat.
Please Note: As the menu consists entirely of Tapas (no course distinction) the 2 4 1 offer means for every 2 tapas dishes ordered the cheapest will be free. Set menus are not included in the offer. This restaurant is open 7 days a week.
