I was really looking forward to my dinner here last night. The menu looked good and it seemed to be offering much more than your average curry house. But, the only thing I can say was good at the end of the night were the poppadoms and chutneys (just a shame they arrived 30 minutes after we ordered them and at the same time as our starter). The chilli squid was Ok, but served with limp salad and had no subtly of flavour and was very salty. The green bean and beetroot dish had so much coconut cream, that hadn't been cooked, only heated, that it was too rich to eat. The low fat fish curry, didn't have much flavour and the spinach and tofu hardly had any flavour.
For a Monday night when there were only a handful of diners in the restaurant we expected better service. The wrong drinks were brought and dishes were brought at the wrong time.
OK, so we had 50% off the food, but the drinks were expensive so I really feel that this was an overpriced disappointment. I was disappointed as from the website it talks a good game. Maybe we just visited on an off night. "

Me and my friend visited this place a few weeks back on a Thursday night, upstairs was busy with people having drinks but the downstairs was a little quieter but still enough people in there to suggest it was a decent place. The food was excellently presented and tasted great but the service really was below standard, I’d expect that kind of service on Brick Lane, not in this kind of place. If they can sort it out then this would be great.

The first thing me and my friends did when we walked through the door was exchange glances, as we felt supremely underdressed (soggy, rain drenched jeans will do that to you.) The restaurant was lovely, it looked very professional and I would highly recommend it for impressing others with the 'wow' factor when you walk through the door.
The food itself was delicious. I am an adventurer of meats, so naturally tried the goat curry, much to horror of my friends. The meat was lovely and tender and the sauce was tasty. My friend had the korma, but rated it as ok; a big problem for my friends was that the chicken dishes were served with a bone in them rather than traditionally just chunks of meat, so it was essentially like a drum stick covered in cause on a bed of rice. The bone content was actually very minimal, but still, it was irritating for them.
My sister and her boyfriend had the tikka. Now, for those of you who do NOT like spicy foods, they found the tikka FAR too spicy for their liking, and they eat tikka all the time. So a safer bet would be the korma, which isn't spicy at all.
I'd like to add that the only reason this review isn't five stars is because of the comments of the rest of my group. If it was solely down to my own curry then it would have 5 all across the board :) "

The restaurant would be very accommodating for large groups with an impressive interior and furnishings. Would thoroughly recommend the restaurant regardless of tastecard deal which is a massive bonus!

I have dined here several times, and find the food quality is superb and the portion sizes are excellent (though the food tends to be better Mon-Thurs rather than Fri, not that it's anything other than lovely on Fri). In particular the Paneer tikka is succulent, as is the Chili squid (though both tend to be worse/tougher on Fridays).
Service is friendly, attentive and quick.

"Wasn’t holding out much hope when we arrived and were told they had no record of my telephone booking. However, as it was a Saturday and this restaurant is right bang in the middle of the city it wasn't busy and they showed us to our table.
I really enjoyed the food.
Chilli squid very good squid, above average as to what you normally get in your usual Indian. Very hot! My partner had the Masala chick peas very good.
My main was the Lamb madras with potato masala mash and mushroom rice. Very tasty. My partner had the Veggie (very hot) jalfreizi and lemon chilli rice lived up to fiery title!
It's a great little restaurant tucked away down an alley in the city which does an interesting twist on Indian and other spicy foods.
