This is a great restaurant and have visited numerous times. All the dishes are first class - and using tastecard 50% off the final bill is extremely reasonable.
The drinks are priced at what may be considered reasonable or expensive - £4.25 for a lager, and are not discounted. So if you like a drink the final bill will rise accordingly!!!

We visited on Saturday evening we were one of the first people in (that's what happens when you have small kids :-( ) the staff greeted us as if we were regulars, this was our first visit. We sat down ordered our drinks and food, all arrived in a speedy fashion, but not too rushed.
The quality of the food was very good, very tasty and a good sized portion. The staff were all very friendly and also very attentive making sure the food was good, which it was.
Overall this is probably one of the best Indian restaurants we have visited in Newcastle for a long time. Value for money, excellent, starters, main course and side dishes, Nan, Poppadoms and drinks for 2 adult and a child £36 with the tastecard....superb!! "
