Cookbook Cafe offers upscale market table fare that champions British seasonal and sustainable ingredients in an interactive culinary experience. The new weekday lunch menu impresses with its selection of dishes created from ingredients sourced within 50 miles of the hotel. The ‘50 Mile Menu’ features many of the British ingredients that can be found on the restaurant’s daily menu, diners might choose Berkshire chicken, grilled and served on crushed onion squash (from Kent), or Hampshire venison haunch steak, with ‘sweetheart’ cabbage and bacon, roasted carrots and salsify, winter pear and peppercorn jus (all vegetables from Sussex.)

Overlooking Hyde Park, Cookbook Cafe is a uniquely interactive, contemporary dining venue focused on delivering a menu with real flair and provenance.

The restaurant also runs regular, themed cookery classes for children during select Saturday brunch, at a small extra charge of £10 per child. For forthcoming dates and more information, please visit www.cookbookcafe.co.uk/kids-cook.php.

Please Note: The tastecard discount applies to the lunch and dinner menu's only (Lunch Monday-Friday & Dinner Monday-Saturday).  The tastecard offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offer including the weekend brunch menu and the offer excludes all day Sunday as a separate menu is served on this day.

"Had a very nice lunch yesterday, lovely fresh buffet and delicious desserts. The tastecard deal was explained to us as two for one - usually £20.00 each so we both ate for £20.00 plus free coffee. Very good value. Also the staff here are really polite and helpful. F Byrne "

"Lovely quiet (when I went on a Thursday evening) restaurant, exceptional food and good service. We chose our meals from an Ala Carte menu so cannot comment on any buffets as not aware of these. Would recommend for a special occasion as it is not a place you would go to for a cheap meal. Will definitely return. Paulynn "

"Went to the Cookbook cafe for lunch with a friend and we had such a great meal. We only chose to eat from the market table but they have such a great choices of options it was enough to fill us up. We were pleasantly surprised with some of the food they had on the table. A great atmosphere and very attentive staff. Definitely will be going back again and may be try out the brunch menu! "This is the 2nd time we have been here and it is amazing!!! Both times have opted for the brunch menu. The starter is a cold buffet with fresh fish, meat and salads. The mains were 3 plates to share between two and the desserts are fantastic. Not to mention the unlimited Bellini's soft drinks and tea. Will definitely return. Very attentive staff! Anna "

"Lunch at the Cookbook Cafe was good.  From what I understand they have buffet lunches and a la carte dinners.  I think the idea behind this restaurant is very innovative. The buffet lunches are different every day and based on different themes.  My friend and I went on a Thursday, which happened to be the day they were celebrating the 'October fest'. The food there was delicious, and a nice quiet atmosphere ideal for catching up with old friends, business lunches etc... I would recommend anyone who is interested in this to call up ahead to get a better idea of what will be available on the day they intend to visit and confirm prices as I mentioned, the themes are different all the time! MESSAGE FOR TASTE LONDON AND THE RESTAURANT: I want to add the service is what you'd expect from any 5 star hotel, polite and courteous, however, I must say the waitress who served us (also happened to be the girl who took my booking over the phone and explained to me the concept of the restaurant) was very polite, attentive and its people like that who make the experience some thing else. More importantly, the location of the restaurant on this website is WRONG. The Cookbook Cafe is part of the Intercontinental Hotel in London, just off Hyde Park Corner. Terence "
