This family-run business has been going for over 20 years and throughout that time staff have always taken great pride in providing their customers with fine Indian cuisine and excellent customer service.

The menu offers a wide variety of classic Indian flavours as well as original dishes unique to the Kismet.

The quality of the restaurant’s food and drink, combined with their high standard of customer service is reflected in Kismet’s loyal customer base.

Many of the venue’s regular customers visit not only from Cardiff, but from places further afield such as Caerphilly, Swansea, Aberystwyth and Bristol.

" My wife and I ate here last night after finding the restaurant on the tastecard website. We were dubious at first. The restaurant is not in a fashionable part of town and the décor is more functional than plush but it is comfortable and clean.

When the food arrived I started to realise what a hidden gem this restaurant is. I had a chicken tikka as a starter and the meat was perfectly seasoned and moist inside unlike the dried offering you sometimes receive. The salad was very fresh and I loved the addition of red onion which gave it an extra touch.

My main course was a lamb jalfrezi, Bombay aloo and mushroom rice. Everything was excellent, particularly the Bombay aloo for which the sauce was perfect. The lamb was obviously very good quality and cooked to perfection.

They offer various discounts in addition to the tastecard and so we paid £6.95 each for the food which included the starter, main course dish, a side dish, rice, nan, dessert and tea or coffee afterwards. All we paid for extra was the drinks which are reasonably priced and some drinks are buy one get one free.

Considering the exceptional standard of the food the price you pay for it is very low. This restaurant offers very good value for money and we will definitely be returning whenever we are in Cardiff. "
