The Carpenters Arms offers a regularly changing, seasonal menu based on some of the best produce our British Isles have to offer. Iconic pub dishes like beer battered haddock and chips with mushy peas, and handmade beef burger with skin on chips, are always on the menu, alongside less traditional creations from chef, such as asparagus, mushroom & pea tart with beetroot & potato salad.
Their drinks range is equally appealing: From Czech pilsners to German lagers, American craft beers to British cask ales, plus a fine selection of ciders and a well-chosen wine list, The Carpenters Arms has a specialty drinks range to satisfy everyone.
Lovingly restored to its former glory, the listed building has been revived with comfy sofas, intimate booths and a popular roof-top beer garden. But the jewel in the Carpenters’ crown is the ‘granny annex’. Complete with tasselled lampshades and royal memorabilia, it’s definitely a unique place to savour a plate of freshly cooked pub food or a glass of fine wine.
