Zizzi - Uxbridge image

Zizzi restaurants are run the Italian way - passionate and homely with a little flair. Each one's a bit different in character, architecture, age and feel.  At Zizzi, they are passionate about their food. They take great pride in what comes in and out of their kitchens. It starts with the ingredients - always simple and well prepared. They only use Arborio rice (named after the town in the Po valley region where it's grown) for risotto because they've yet to find a creamier one.

There's nothing complicated about the approach Zizzi take, they love simple Italian cookery and believe that you can taste when someone loves what they do.

Please Note: A TELEPHONE OR ONLINE BOOKING MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE YOUR TASTECARD DISCOUNT AT ZIZZI. This exclusive offer to tastecard members of 2 for 1 is across all courses ordered (starters, mains and desserts); the cheapest or equivalent dish of each course being free. This is an offer for 2 people per tastecard booking. The Cichetti and Bambini menus are excluded from the offer and your tastecard cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or set menus. Due to huge demand, unfortunately Zizzi is unable to accept the cards ALL DAY on Friday and Saturday and throughout the month of December or on any other special days throughout the year (eg. Bank Holidays, Valentine's Day, Mothering Sunday, and Father's Day). Take-aways are not included in the offer.

"Went for dinner on a Sunday at 8pm. On arrival was told they were out of calamari, seafood and new potatoes. One of the reasons we went to Zizzi was for the calamari as our son really enjoys it but we thought we'd eat there anyway. The individual who showed us to our table appeared disinterested and wasn't particularly unhelpful, but the waitress who tended to us throughout the meal was the complete opposite. Happened to be watching the chef (open plan kitchen) with our toddler when I heard him complain to the manager that someone’s order had been left sitting on the side "for ages" and had not been collected to serve. As it happened it was our starters he was referring to! Was going to send them back but our boy was hungry and we couldn't wait. The main course pizzas took a long time to be served but were acceptably warm when they arrived. Not the best pizza I've had but still quite good. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy when we went so am a little disappointed in the quality of the food and the length of time it took for our food to be served, however the quality was acceptable and our waitress really helped to keep our son entertained. Would give it a 3 out of 5, if they had had the calamari they would have got at least another half mark, and we will probably eat there again as it is reasonable and conveniently located for us.
