I was slightly nervous about using my tastecard for the first time but it couldn't have been easier. A quick phone call to the restaurant and we had our booking. When we arrived we were greeted by very attentive staff who guided us to our booth which was spotlessly clean. After a delicious starter of marinated olives and bread we both plumped for the full rack of BBQ ribs, jacket potato and coleslaw which were served on a wood block. My husband, who is from Memphis and grew up eating BBQ said they were some of the best he'd ever eaten, the jacket potato and slaw were also fantastic, and our waiter (a friendly Matt Damon lookalike) made sure that the meal was exactly to my husband's specifications.
For desert I had the 'heart attack on a plate' sticky toffee pudding which was smothered in rich toffee sauce with nuts and my husband enjoyed an ice cream with hot chocolate sauce. After finally managing to finish the generous desert and soft drink we paid the bill which came to a grand total of £26 for both of us, great value and wonderful food. It was one of the best restaurant meals that I have ever eaten, and some of the friendliest and attentive waiting staff that I have had the pleasure to come across. J Pugh "
