What can you expect to be reading about in the future? Well I’m always keeping an eye out for new places to eat (who says we’re in a recession?!) and events taking place up and down the country – and I’m sure most of you would agree – almost every event these days seems to involve food and drink somewhere along the line. 2012 is certainly a special year with the recent jubilee celebrations, Euro 2012 and who could possibly forget the 2012 Olympics coming to the capital. I’ll help you with some ideas of where you might want to be for some of these special events. Also the annual events that we have come to accept as Great Britain – Edinburgh Fringe, Wimbledon, Proms, the list is endless. I’ll also keep you informed of all juicy gossip on all things foodie.
And it’s not all about us – we want to hear from you too! We’ve thought of almost everything to ensure you can contact us to let us know what you like, what you want more of and share with your friends – you can comment on our posts, like them through our Facebook widget, you’ll be able to re-tweet us too!
By now you’re probably wondering who I am! I am an enthusiastic foodie fan. Yes I know you’re probably thinking who isn’t. I’ve always had a vested interest in food. Particularly taking photos of the delightful food I get to try out regularly. I LOVE cooking (I make a mean macaroni cheese) and I can quite confidently say that there isn’t anything I won’t try. Ok so perhaps you won’t see me eating moving objects from the outback but you get my drift. I used to tweet and post lots of foodie photos on Twitter/Facebook, then I thought “why don’t I do this properly” and started my own blog. Two years later I love it and am honoured to be sharing restaurant and food news with you all to help you on your quest to dine out with your tastecard.

I agree with not enough choices in Devon, even in Exeter and surrounding area. Almost nowhere to use Tastecard in Cornwall on a recent holiday
I have a current 1 year subscription which expires the first week in August 2012.
Due to an illness recently, I apparently missed out on being able to renew for another year at a very reasonable £30.
Is there any possibility of sneaking me under the barrier?

When one is in an unfamiliar place without access to the internet it’s not easy to find a Tastecard restaurant. Why not issue all the Tastecard restaurants with a small Tastecard sticker to put in their window so that they can be instantly recognised as accepting Tastecards?
Good idea & welcome. I also advocate some form of identification be made available to enable a Tastecard restaurant to be spotted when one is ‘out and about’, such as a winow sticker

I am from the Mersyside district and we have some fantastic eateries here on the Wirral side of the Mersey and on the Liverpool side.
It would be nice if we could find a taste card member amongst them.
Other areas of excellent resteraunts are West Kirby and Heswall.

I’m a new member of Tastecard but got it just in time before we went on holiday! My wife and I are very pleased with the great discounts we had – which have already paid for the annual membership more than twice over! I fully agree with display stickers at restaurants but what about providing members with leaflets that we can hand to our favourite restaurants to introduce them to Tastecard? Let us do the work for you! And whilst mentioning favourite restaurants, what about having a lot more linked to Tastecard here in West Wales and Carmarthenshire in particular?
