Keira Knightley was in the year above me at school so would be great to take some old school friends along to watch her in private and have a small reunion after enjoying a pre-feast at one of the great TasteCard restaurants around London with a big party of friends!! YES PLEASE! x
What a fab prize…..
A group of friends & I have kept in touch since senior school in the eighties, meeting most summers. Although each time someone is often sadly missing for differing reasons, and many travel a long distance to meet in our old schools city.
This last 18 months have been trying for a few of us… Would be great fun to spend this years reunion at the cinema with everyone & create some smiles! Here’s hoping! Thank you.
Steve Carell (funny) + Keira Knightley (sweet) + Popcorn (savoury) + 30 Friends (good times) = Perfect Night Out!! This film has had good reviews and looks like it will be barrells (or carells) of laughs! I’d love to treat my friends to seeing this and of course we’d look up on the tastecard website where we would go for dinner before the movie! Pick Me!
If I win, I would love to bring a group of my friends up from Brighton.
They are an eclectic group of artists, DJs, scientists, writers and performers, all of whom I love dearly, and they are the people I would want to be with, if the world was about to be destroyed.
We often go out for meals together, and love trying new venues and unusual cuisines. But to have our own private cinema would be a completely new experience – it sounds fabulous!
With the fabulous group of friends I have, who needs to seek others. Of course the more friends you have the more you can eat out using your taste card with its great discounts and amazing choices of restuarants. Lets hope I can eat out and watch a movie with my dearest and closest mates, maybe shed a teat or two whilst watching Keira and Steve.
Im not sure I can out convince the people above, but I can try to say something that may put a smile on your face. I am not best friends of, related to, or anything to do with the cast, although I did get an A+ at high school for drama, but I guess thats kind of irrelevant as I won’t be on the screen.
Most of my friends don’t work in similar industries in fact I’m not sure most of them, have met. We don’t go out for meals as a big group ever, so I guess this would be a way to bring us all together… All different groups of friends in one place… There’s the language folk, the old work folk, the new work foll, the city friends…and country crew… My new housemates, the ‘old’ friendly couple… Who am I kidding I’ll probably put a shout out to my mates on Facebook and see who’s available… Then I might actually ask my brother as he’s not on Facebook…and his Wife. …and maybe my mate Dan.
So… Pick me!
I’m in hospital at the moment with a group of amazing people, staff and patients – having a theraputic cinema trip out with them would be an incredible way to aid recovery/motivation and build relationships – plus a great way to show staff they’re appreciated and fellow pateints they are fab!
My wife and I recently sold everything we owned and moved to the UK. We don’t know many people in the UK but this would greatly help build a social environment to gain some more.

Because I’d rather seek 30 friends for the end of the world instead of just one
After supporting me & my partner over the past 3 years following a ‘near fatal’ industrial accident, he suffered, I would love to offer our great friends & family an exciting opportunity to all be together to celebrate that he is alive & well today. What a better way to spend it than watching ‘Seeking a Friend for the End of the World”.
What a FAB prize! I’d love to treat my friends to this night out….We are big fans of Comedy, Popcorn and of course Taste Card.
Trying desperately to get a job at the moment as well as support my freelance film making passion. This is why I use taste card, because it is excellent for saving up the pennies. Could think of nothing better than giving my loving friends and family a present, thanking them for all their support in what has been a difficult search for employment.
After a bite to eat using the tastecard treat,
Nothing better than to put up your feet,
Along with some mates,
Whose diary’s are full of dates,
Though never for you,
Boo hoo hoo.
But for one night only,
Instead of feeling lonely,
All say they can come,
They say “this is the one”,
We’ll be there for you,
I breathe a sigh, Phew.
Friends are what matter,
Not if you are thin or fatter,
So let’s enjoy the movie
A good time by all-Groovie!
I don’t think I have 30 friends.
So I would take my immediate family That’s 4 of us and 6 other friends.
The remaining 20 tickets I would sell to raise money for a local charity of my choice.
My friends and I deserve to win as we all know who we would take with us to the end of the world, whether we need to seek them or not!
My friends and I deserve to win as we know who we would take to the end of the world, whether we need to seek them or not!
I work in Consulting industry with really no time for personal life including my wife and friends. It would be nice to have an outing for a change to take everyone out and show them how much I love them.
My friends and I all live in a tight community where we all help each other out, look after each others children, are a shoulder to cry on there to help change a plug mow the lawn and do all the jobs our husbands would do, however they are all in the forces and serving currently in Afghan, so a deserved trip out for all my lovely army wife friends would be a bit of light relief from the difficult 6 months we have when our loved ones are away.
This would be a great day out for me, my friends and my family because my friends are scattered all over the country so would be nice to all catch up and have some fun and laughter at the same time. I only have my immediate family here as well so my friends are my extended family who I’d love to share this with.
This would be such a good chance to meet up with my old friends that I haven’t seen in years! The perfect excuse! “You are invited to watch a movie with the old gang before the end of the world falls upon us!”
I would like to win this prize because my good friend is battling Breast cancer and we are all fighting along with her. But no matter what the doctors say, there is no better medicine than laughter with friends together with the sweet security that they will always be there no matter what. I am committed to give her special memories and this would be a great one.
This would be an epic night out and a great way to celebrate my partner & I’s anniversary! x
A night out with up to 30 friends AND Steve Carrell, yes please, it would be amazing fun!
My friends and I never get an opportunity to all catch up at the same time. We are all so busy with work and other commitments that it’s so hard to arrange everyone to be somewhere at once. This would be the perfect opportunity for that to happen!
Always looking for different things to do with mates and have quite fancied doing this but never looked into it properly.
Looks like a really great film too.
Hi, would love to win this prize and take my friends for a private cinema viewing together. They would think I’m the best !! The film sounds really interesting and funny. What a fantastic prize. Love the Tastecard and use it wherever I can.
Me and my friends would love to win this prize, none of us win anything!
A great night at the cinema and I reckon I could get all my mates to come for a drink afterwards too… even the married off mates that we rarely see thse days!
As a Londoner, it has been a crazy summer – or whatever weather u want to call it. No sun, lots of visitors, men in the gang busy with football and tennis and now a stampede coming up with the Olympics! It has been stressful and there could be nothing better to end it all with some quaility time with those who matter
My friends and I deserve to win because we can watch the film knowing that we don’t have to seek a friend for the end of the world…because we all have each other! Instead we could book a table somewhere – using a tastecard – and eat, drink and be merry!
I’m terribly unpopular and this would offer me my last chance of ingratiating myself with my half-hearted friends before they abandon me for good – in other words, you could save my social life – no pressure…
This would be great for everyone to get together (29 of us) and to leave one space for our friend Ellie who, sadly, is no longer with us.
Don’t feel sorry however, she’s not dead, she’s moved to Australia and is having a wail of a time; surfing, having BBQs for breakfast, lunch and dinner and of course enjoying the sun! Her life has never been better! Ours however is not so good and this cinema experience might just fill that Ellie shaped hole.
If the prize is drawn on how deserving you are then I’m sure there are other more enthusiastic entries with more than 30 friends who would like to go with them. But all the same, for someone who mostly hangs out with football loving, lager drinking blokes, I’d quite fancy a girly night out watching this. Who knows, the lager drinking blokes might like it too…
This would be a fantastic way to celebrate as I have just been reunited with a group of friends from school after over 40 yrs. We are all in our 60′s and 70′s now and would love to get together and see a good film. None of us have really changed over the years we are all still young at heart.
I’m a dead ringer for Steve Carell, It’s a fact. I could convince my friends it’s actually myself who is starring in a film with Kiera and pretend it’s the world premiere!
My friends are the family I choose. They see the best of me and the worst of me and for all the support they’ve given me I’d love to win the tickets. I’d be wanting them all at the end of the world!
I’ve got a large group of friends whom I met at uni and in various pubs, and It would be brilliant to get all of them together in one place to have a laugh and let my friends from my hometown mix and meet my friends from university! Plus we regularly eat out at a variety of restaurants and the tastecard has allowed us to broaden the range of restaurants we can go to, meaning dinner and a film with friends is always an awesome night out!
I would love to be able to take 30 of my friends and family to an awesome cinema night! My friends would be extremely grateful and i would never have to buy a round again!!!
Why not :/ me or anyone in my family has never won anything in our lifes its like we have no luck . Good luck everyone
Oh this would so amazing! I met my wife on an asteroid waiting for a lift back to earth, it’ll be just like old times. She was much prettier than Keira Knightly though…
It would so much fun to get the gang together and catch up again. We’ve kind of gone our separate ways after we all headed to different planets and haven’t seen each other for years, but I think there’s still at least 30 who came to the wedding still knocking around this galaxy. What a great excuse for a re-union!
Me and the girls NEED a night out! They’ve been put on hold since my sister had cervical cancer last year.
But we’ve battled with her and can gladly say that she’s now in remission and getting back to the woman she was!
She’s definately my friend for the end of the world! and this would be fantastic! x
<3
I believe myself and my freinds should win this prize as many of us have not been out (some for a year!!!) for some time and it would be great to get everyone together in one place to enjoy what seems to be a great movie. It may even fall on one of our birthdays!!!
would be great to take all my friends out to a free movies, havent seen some of them in ages since i moved back from abroad so this would be a great chance to catch up!
would be fantastic to get all the mums together on a night out. i think we all derserve a break and a good laugh especially now we are all faced with our kids for the whole summer lol
what a prize to win, if i could take all the family out would be a great way to try and stop all the family fueds..
I would like the opportunity to see if I really have 30 friends (I mean REAL friends, not just people who befriend you on facebook to see how you are different from school). I don’t think I do, but this would be a good way to find out!
I should win because going to the cinema is SO expensive in London that I can’t ever justify buying popcorn too (an incomplete cinema experience, I’m sure you will agree). This way, I could buy popcorn to my heart’s content knowing the tickets didn’t cost me a penny
I can only take 30 of my friends!?
How are you meant to choose?
Film looks awesome, would be great to win!
It’s nearly impossible to get 30 of your friends and family together in one movie sitting so this would be an amazing day out!
All my friends have been celebrating our 30s this year and we’ve all come together from the corners of the world to make sure we are there to celebrate. 30 friends to see this film? What a fab way to look back one day after having a year of 30s with a 30 friends fab prize!! Its hard to even get the Londoners together these days but I’m sure this will be a great incentive
I’m probably Tastecard’s best customer and I could bring all my friends to whom I’ve recommended it!
I have the friends….I just want to see this before the end of the world
At the end of last year (2011) the Company I worked for over 4 years made over 70 people redundant – not quite the “end of the world” but fairly close! As it is now over 6 mths later it’s a good time to reach out & meet up with some of my old work friends, reconnect and so how everyone is coping with such a HUGE life/work change. even if we don’t manage to help anyone’s struggling carrer plans we can at least share some good times, however briefly, once again. Although it will be really difficult for me to limit numbers to just 30 hopefully those able to make it on the night in London will make it a memorable and beautiful cinema experience!
Havent seen some of my friends in ages due to having my daughter so winning this would be a great excuse to meet up and watch a great film.
A party of us would love the opportunity to see a lovely comedy. We’ll probably plan to use our multiple tastecards at a restaurant afterwards!
I have the most wonderful friends around and this would be a great treat for us all.
Since we all work full time and have families our get togethers are far and few between and this would be a fantastic opportunity to have great night out with the bestest friends anyone could have.
this sounds like an awesome prize
i wuld love to take out 30 of my friends to this as i have had one of the most stressful years of my life
we have had the builder from hell who ripped put our bathroom and part of the ceiling not to mention creating leaks in the pipe work plus all of this happening having to deal with re doing the whole lot !!!! an then dealing with the family while trying to arrange our wedding arggghhhh and paying for it all !!!
having said that it was still amazing just so stressy so this would be a fab thing for us to do
)))
I’d like to win so I can see if I actually have 30 friends to take with me…
I spend most of my free time revising, please provide me with a revision break to see all my mates!!!
Ps my favourite tastecard restaurant is Eco in Clapham… Which does the best Eggs Royal in London… A must try!
I’m sure I can cancel SOMETHING in my diary to make this.
I deserve to win this amazing prize because I have not been to the cinema for over 2 years , since before I got married as my husband hates it and does not enjoy the same films as me ! I love the cinema and to see my 2 fave actors in a great film with all my friends and family would be a huge treat, especially after this last year which has been awful! Please choose me!!!
I have had a bit of a rough ride lately and my friends have been the most amazing friends in the world!! It would be great to treat them all to a great night out to say I love you all and a big thank you!! x
Go ahead and make my day! and say hello to my little friends,
all 30 of them, practically perfect in every way.
I’m not a smart man but I know what love is, and I like to watch!..films that is,
it’ like,..like electricity.
So let us seize the day! Make our lives extraordinary.
If you send them we will come!
I would love to win the tickets to treat 30 nearest and dearest to my 30th birthday as they will be my friends at the end of the world!
Because… I too am seeking a friend for the end of the world :-O
I am the world’s No 1 disaster apocolytipic comedy movie nut! I can’t get enough of them
Would anyone like to join me in Birmingham for the end of the world screening?
I can’t promise it’d be the safest place to avoid the apocolyspe mind you!
But you’d surely make a new friend
I have been in a leg cast for MONTHS now and have been in social lockdown missing out and lots of lovely things/events with my friends so I would love to make it up to them (and make sure they haven’t forgotten I exit!) and treat them all to an amazing night like this!
My husband and I couldn’t get Olympics tickets this year even though we tried three times, we went into the Wimbledon ballot and got nothing so we’re boycotting sporting events this summer. We’ve decided to have an “Awesome August” and have arranged some trips to do other cultural things like theatre, made arrangements for our 30th Birthdays which both fall in August this year – and so winning tickets to this would literally be the icing on our Birthday cake!
It would be great to take our friends along to this as part of our birthday celebrations as we were going to have fairly quiet 30ths.
For when the end of the world is upon us, it is crucial for me to know who my 30 closest friends are.
I would love to take my family and friends to the screening of the movie.Being my husbands 30th this year I have been rattling around looking for something to do that we could all afford to do……recession and all (therefore most of us have tastecards for this reason lol) My husband is a HUGE movie fan and talks about them to the point where I switch off in order to actually watch the movie lol! I want to be honest….I would just love to be able to give my husband this present for his 30th! What better way to spend it with his 30 friends and family!
What a great way to bring together all the different friends and family members from the different parts of my life, apart from at my wedding (and in the future maybe my funeral!) We could all use our Tastecards to go for a meal in London, and then go off together to Cineworld to watch this film that has been getting great reviews. If an meteoroid was really heading towards Earth, that’s probably the best way to spend the last night on the planet. Though hopefully that’s not going to happen and we’ll just have a brilliant time, a great meal, and a big laugh.
Its my birthday coming up on the 28th July, what better way to celebrate, than
take my friends and family to watch a fantastic movie and a wonderful meal.
It would save my husband having to think of a surprise for me.And it would be
a great get together . Thanks.
I would love 2 win this great prize so that I could show my friends how much I love & value their undying support no matter where or when I may need them. I am truly blessed with an abundance of people I am proud to call my friends.
I don’t have 30 friends on London so I will invite a lot of people and then make new friends
Because my friend has just completed a 300 mile walk for Walk for Seve charity and it would be a wonderful way to say congratulations to him!!! Go on – do it for Elliot (and charity!) x
I would love to invite all my friends to a private screening of this film. I have read the reviews and think we would all love it. Also, it would be a brilliant way to finish the summer.
Coz it’s about time something good happened for once.
Me and my 30 friends deserve to win this competition because the summer holidays have just began and it would be such a treat as we’ve just completed the first year of our A-levels and are awaiting the results on the 11th of August. Winning this competition would make such a fun day out for all of us!
I always dream of having a cinema gathering to myself and friends as I am a huge film fanatic. This would be a great opportunity to do something wildly different and yet show the affection I have for films.
Simply this would be a great outing; fun, fresh and ever enjoyable so hopefully i would win this generous prize.
As I don’t live near my family it would be lovely to watch the film with them and see everyone together.
It’s been a pants year for me and most of my family/friends, (is it the weather? born under a bad sign? or is it indeed the beginning of the end?) A bipolar diagnosis, parental bereavement, registered complaint at work, redundancies, marriage problems and unemployment are just a few of the problems my mates, family and I have been working through, and with all this we have all been there for each other.
I realise most people have experienced one or more of these in their life but I swear a cloud has been following us around this year (maybe it’s me!)
A night away from all of this would be wonderful but I’m sure that there will be more worthy causes.
Good Luck to ye all!
I’m getting married in secret next week and so all my friends don’t hate me I would like to win the tickets, to take them all out to make up for them not being with us on our wedding day.
My girlfriends and I have just completed the Race For Life, raising over £200 (and counting…) in the process for Cancer Research UK. It would be a great treat for us all to enjoy together after an exhausting run… and take our families along too! We so rarely get a chance to see each other now that we all work in different places/have started families/moved away, etc. It would be absolutely lovely to have an office reunion where we can all have a great time together!
Me and all of my friends have just recently graduated from university, it would be an amazing way to celebrate this fact! Also me and my fiancé have not yet had chance to celebrate our engagement and this would provide us with the perfect opportunity to do so!
in case it really is the end of the world, then i would be able to spend it with the people who mean the most to me
I am a new mummy and enjoy it so much but would love to meet up with a few friends and go to the pics and have a few drinkies afterwards, and of course the film looks really good.
xxx
It would be nice to have my graduation university class altogether for one last time before we go out into the big wide world. With a nice meal in London using the tastecard after
We are a group of complete strangers from all walks of life working for the NHS(midwives, nurses,OT’S Physiotherapist, doctors etc) we randomly auditioned for the opening ceremony of the Olympics in our own time as volunteers and were thrown together to practice outdoors, for the last three months involving much rain, laughing, dancing, eating stressing, technical hitches….. But it will all be worth it in the end and it will be so good, a life experience never forgotten. This would be the icing on the cake to all get together again as we are friends for life so we can chill watching a film and have a nice meal using our cards. We are sick of living on sandwiches during long training sessions. 7 sleeps to go!! Hooray
We should win because we deserve a treat
watching laughing and having fun
Tastecard please send us to Birmingham!
got no reason why i deserve this more than anyone else here. maybe ill win for being honest
Just over four years ago, I ‘packed up my life and moved to the UK, where I have made some really good friends in London. Due to various reasons of which work is but one, I have neglected these friendships over the past few months and it would be awesome to show the that they mean the world to me and even though they’ve been out of sight, they’ve never been out of mind….. A true friend can be more important than a brother/sister!
The undying love of food and film !
Hi. I would love the chance to view the film and enjoy the happy company of 30 friends. We do not make the time often enough to enjoy the time of our friends as appossed to chasing the dollars and losing out on valuable quality time with freinds and family. Today we live in a bit of a “rat race” and we need to spend more time relaxing, supporting each other and giving to others – our time!!
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday, being with people I love and care about, good food and a movie, bliss.
With the end of the world coming in December, i’ve been reaching out to old school friends, childhood friends and people I used to work with that i’ve lost contact with, after all, you never know who’ll have the useful skills i’ll need to help me through the apocalypse!
To encourage these people to join my survival commune, a trip to the cinema would be just the thing I think, and if I could schedule it for December, that would ensure my ‘crew’ were all in the same place (although perhaps the film producers wouldn’t be too keen on holding off releasing it till then)
I’m not a nut who believes it 100%, but you never know, the weather’s been acting pretty strange lately, we had golf ball sized hailstones here the other day that dented my wife’s car!
Having successfully passed all my LPC exams today, this will be a great way for my friends and I to celebrate our achievements.
If i won this prize i would use it to treat the parents/carers of WINGS a small local charity in Staffordshire supporting families of children with special needs/learning disabilities. Most of the parents, like me, hardly ever get to go out because our children are so demanding and need so much care. I would treat the other parents from the group and any of our volunteers who help staff our youth clubs and playschemes, giving our kids a social life. Please choose me!
Wow – cool idea!!! Last time I went to the cinema with friends it was to see the Woman in Black. That film was so cool and the atmosphere in the cinema was amazing, everyone on the end of their seats. I cannot begin to imagine what it would be like having 30 of my friends in the cinema watching a film like this one – Steve Carrell is a funny man I love his expressions, and Kiera Knightley is well Kiera Knightley, swoon – I think she’s gorgeous. Eating out with my Tastecard would just top the evening off and my friends would be talking about the experience forever !!!!!!
)
(Just handed in a Masters dissertation – so I deserve it just for that I think
Tastecard has revolutionised my life, I try things I wouldnt have tried before and I am getting used to the good life! I would like to try a personal cinema screening with my friends but its not the end of the world if I dont win, I still have my tastecard!
I would take my work colleagues from the Hawth Theatre Crawley to see this and we would probably have a bite to eat beforehand as we never seem to get together all at once.
Fingers Crossed and Break a Leg to me!
I’d like to treat my family mostly.Mum and dad are disabled and a night out would be a real treat for them.My nieces are awaiting A level results and is quite stressed.
My sons have only just got jobs after a stressful year of attending job centres and uploading CV’Sand my brother is 50 on the 27th July…opening of the Olympics.
So I’d like to treat them and a good nosh before on a Tastecard would be appertising..
Me and my friends work really hard fighting crime so we deserve to have a few hours to ourselves eating some great food and watching one of the films of the years! I want to win!
Myself and my friends have been through thick and thin, ups and down, but we are due to lose one of our members to the dreaded M word; marriage. This would be an ideal send off for us all!
It would be intresting to see if i could muster up 30 friends thinking cap on
I’m not a funny person. I have no wacky anecdotes. My friends are varied.
What I will say is I will invite my church minister and some of the congregation. The film looks good and we all like to laugh.
I am a student at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and I am due to finish my Masters degree on the 17th of August. It has been a really tough year and all of my friends on my course really deserve this! We work with tropical diseases and insects and many of us have been away over the past couple of months travelling through Africa and South America but come the 17th of August we will all be back in the UK!
Quite a few of us have a taste card and we use them all the time to go out together in Liverpool. This would be an amazing opportunity to celebrate the end of our Masters and the beginning of our real adult life! Please please please!
Because we no longer have to ‘seek friends for the end of the world’. Luckily my friends and I have each other!
It looks like a fun film and we would love to win this fabulous price.
After my husband of 29 years left me unexpectedly last year, my friends have been supporting me ensuring I was ok and busy at all times. They continue to do this as emotionally I still find it hard. This would be a wonderful way to thank them all for the last year.
So I can decide which friend to be with when the world ends….
Because we are young, poor and tired and in need of a good laugh! Especially as London will be a nightmare city in the coming weeks, in return for being nice and smiley to the 423905789759 tourists who will stop us getting to work/home/anywhere we deserve some respite! =)
The summer’s been terrible so please let me stay in with friends and enjoy this movie!
I have mobility problems and rely on my husband, family and wonderful group of friends, to see that I get some sort of social life, otherwise it’s the armchair for me! I’d love to say a thank you to them, as well as share a lovely treat, so would very much like to win this.
We and my friends would deserve to win this as it would give me a possibility to say Thank You to all my friends for being so fabulous, loyal and outrageously lovely, 24/7!
My friends and I should win as it would be an utterly amazing experience, a place packed with friends… and it would double as my birthday party! I turn 30, so 30 friends would an amazing coincidence! It’s meant to be.
I think I should win as it’s my birthday on sunday. And my boyfriend fancies Kiera Knightley.
Me and my family (15 members strong and growing) have been citizens of The Cinema since I was small enough to be smuggled into 12′s without staff really noticing (12A didn’t exist back then). We enjoy nothing more than a trip to the pictures – and popcorn is always a must. For our joint contribution the world of cinema – I reckon we deserve it!
Also, we are all awesome – Cineworld’s street cred would SOAR if we graced the joint. Just saying.
Film looks awesome, would be great to win! I don’t think I have 30 friends! Will have to find some quick!
Great for a friends ‘ get together – specially nice since that week includes my birthday and wedding anniversary
Myself and my sons are big Steve carrell fans and have seen all episodes of the office and all his films, this would be a great opportunity to get family and friends together for an unforgettable night , if we don’t win it won’t be the end of the world but it would be great if we did..
What a wonderful way to spend an evening with family and close friends. I would love to invite all my friends and family, as I live alone now , my children have all grown up and moved away and we hardly get to see each other as a family anymore. Everyone is so busy. This would be a wonderful way of bringing us all together , even for just one special evening, to treasure and appreciate, as we never know when there will be another one.
This prize is amazing – would love to win the London City venue. Fingers crossed!!!
At 12 noon on the 21/12/12 we’re getting married… i.e the end of the world. All our friends and family will be travelling from the other side of the world to with us on this day (just in case, we’ll all be together!) Our wedding invites will be “Seeking a friend for the end of the world”.
Well, Keira Knightley would certainly keep my male mates entertained! And Steve Carrell would be sure to give us the cheering up we need after finishing our exams this year! It’s been a tough year, but maybe taking my friends to the cinema, and even treating them to a meal with a tastecard afterwards may go some way to putting a smile back on their faces
Need to remind them that even if we do fail our exams, it is NOT the end of the world!
it would be great to win this and to be able to treat my friends who have stood by me through the good and bad times. i would be totally lost without these people in my life so to give them something back would be fantastic.
It coming up to a friends 30th birthday, with the interesting array of different people that he knows I think that it could be one of his best yet!
Could possibly make a night of it by feeding his brother blue m&m’s too…….. (He can’t handle the blue ones!)
Because, for a laugh, I Photoshopped my friend’s faces on seedy yet alluring flyers offering ‘cheap erotic services’ and posted them, complete with respective mobile numbers, in phone boxes around London.
I might have some making up to do.
I would like to treat my friends and family as they have been around for difficult times. I have known my friends since school (15 years ago) and our friendship has only got stronger every year. I would do anything for them and they have always helped me out when I have had financial hard times – always lending me money or paying for me so I don’t miss out. I would like to thank them!
I finished my photography course at uni two months ago and already everyone has moved apart, following jobs or moving back home. It would be amazing to get everyone back together for one last hurrah, and have a final get together where we can all exchange business cards and make sure we stay in touch in the future. Plus I could even invite a few of our friends from the film and tv course along to show them how it is done!
It be great if winning this prize and taking all 30 true friends would be amazing as never won anything in my life.
I’ve recently finished university and have myself a job away from Leicester in a Hospital..I’m missing university life but most of all I miss all the friends that I made there and the friends that shaped me into the person I am today. It would be incredible for us to all get together for one last reunion before everybody goes their separate ways! Plus I love Steve Carrell , he’s one of my favourite actors and i’m DYING to see this film. Oh…and I love food
i work with some wonderful people, they are better than some of my family . we have such a great laugh together, we all look out for each other when times are bad, and we have had some bad times this year so it would be so nice for us all to have a great time together
Life is shorter than we all realise. Our lives are a miracle. We live on this beautiful planet for a tiny dot of time. The chances of us even being born are so minute as to be practically zero. The odds that my friends were born at all, met me and stayed in contact is truly a thing to enjoy.
These miracles become commonplace and we forget. It’s good to share the positive experiences and live in the moments before they disappear forever. I would love to be with my friends and share this moment forever
I have nowhere near 30 friends – I would be lucky to muster together 2. With these tickets, however, I could commence a “friend quest”, allowing me to approach random people that I either ‘like the look of’ (“self-affirming friends”), those who I believe could further my path in life (“horizon-friends”) or those who would make me feel better about myself (“deficient-friends”).
Otherwise, I would invite my immediate and extended family – it would be lovely to speak to them after all these years.
It would be out of this world and the final word to land this prize for our friends.Who could seek a better surprise?
I really don’t know. I sure I don’t deserve to any more than anyone else, except we’ll all be really quiet and won’t leave any litter in the cinema…
Would like to win this as the original link on the e-mail said that I could win a T-Shit! Most original prize that! lol
My friends and I deserve a good night out! It has been a year of big birthdays and weddings…it would just be nice to just chill out with the people we know and love.
The film is about friendship…it a great the effort that friends make for these special occassions – it would be nice to see them for no reason – just because they are fab…and ‘we’ are fab. (thank you)
OMG me and 30 mates … THE 30 mates I’d like to see the end of the world with … I mean THE actual end of the world … one word EPIC !
I moved to London and as a result my friends & I now live in various cities in the South of the Uk. Therefore we’d love to get together and watch a film together as a reunion & good old catch up;)
I would like to win as it would be nice to get everyone together in one room to watch a movie without everyone being squashed in a living room and seeing friends leave with popcorn stuck to their jeans!!
I deserve to win because I have 4 children all aged under 4 and now have a 6 week summer holiday to entertain them all in without playgroups or nursery school..
Seeing as I’ll probably go insane I would like a night out please
i WOULD LOVE TO TAKE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO TREAT TO AS IT WILL BE MY 50TH BIRTHDAY, i WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE TO HAVE FUN WITH THEM…..YAHOOOOOOO
I think we all have at least 30 facebook friends out there somewhere so I’m sure I could rustle enough people together. I am certain we all need a good laugh right now anyway. I’m also sure my friends would be very impressed with a private screening; very VIP!
I was recommended the Tastecard by several of my friends so this would be a nice way to repay the favour! That’s it really!!
I would love to win this prize to give something back to all the people in my life that bring me happiness and are always there for me. x
I am recovering from major surgery and ten weeks in hospital. I would like to take the friends who supported me and visited me during this difficult time
Over the last few years I have had reason to realise what a wonderful group of friends I have. This would be a wonderful way to get them altogether and say thanks.
I’d love to win this to celebrate me & all my friends reaching our 30th birthdays this year!
With our first baby due at the end of August the opportunities to enjoy large scale gatherings amongst friends are about to become very limited so this would be a great end off treat
Have a mini party!
i thimk we deserve to win as my family and extended family have all had tough financial years so have had to cut back on things like cinema. also 2 of us are pregnant so cant drink or do anything to strenuous so cinema would be an ideal treat
Winnin this prize would be amazing. My friendship group totals 17 leaving a few tickets to give to other friends that haven’t met my amazing crazy group and would leave a ticket for Nan and mum to come along too
Using tastecard we shall eat
Seeing the film next would be an awesome treat!
As life is short, I’ve got to win
Failing would indeed be such a sin!
Just pick a few people of the streets and all enjoy a movies experience. Just kidding, be a union of different friends to see a movie. How often can you get 30 of your friends together to enjoy a movie and chinwag after? Awesome prize.
Like the film says I am seeking a friend for the end of the world or even one to see a film with would be nice.
Everyone else on here already has 30 friends it seems! I need to win over new ones with this prize. And each one will owe me something in return, so I’ll get all the free popcorn, drinks and hotdogs I can eat. Tastecard/ Cineworld people, if you’re looking for a selfish, mercenary, cinema loving, loner – pick me! And if you could get me Steve Carell’s number too, that would be great – he can be one of my thirty. Thanks.
I would really like to see a movie with just me and friends in the audience as I am sick and tired of going to the cinema and having to put up with people chatting and texting.
We would all be ultra grateful and go out to dinner somewhere in Birmingham using our Taste Cards at one of the many excellent places that are within walking distance of the cinema.
I also would like to show my friends a great time because, as a student teacher, I haven’t got the money to treat them very often.
Would be great to bring my group of friends out for a private screening, especially after all the support they have given me after the birth of our little one. Can’t ask for better friends.
Cos if the Mayan prophesy nutters are right and 2012 is the end of the world what better way to go out that watching an end of the World movie with 30 of my nearest and dearest
I’m not sure whether the winner is chosen by chance or by the literary merit of the comment. At present there is about 140 comments to compete with and given the time of evening, I am going to leave by saying I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really like winning things on the internet.
Please give me tickets so I can relieve the boredom of sitting at home in rural Suffolk when I should be out having dinner and watching films with my friends.
I just like winning things! I never win anything though
