As London restaurants go, it doesn’t get more central than Munchkins. Visitors to the bustling city will find the eatery just a tube ride to Holborn or Goodge Street and a quick four-minute walk away. As it’s located in Bloomsbury, locals will find it a welcome spot to grab a bite after strolling around the area’s many parks.
Easily one of the quirkiest places to eat in London, Munchkins has become a favourite spot for many travellers. Guests will notice vintage Coca Cola memorabilia and of course, a Wizard of Oz-themed yellow brick floor. Its customers come from all over the world and their menus are even translated into Japanese, Russian, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
Fans of traditional British restaurants will feel right at home with Munchkin’s classics such as jacket potatoes, shepherd’s pie and fish and chips. While those looking for something a little more exotic can indulge in the likes of moussaka, chicken kiev and chili con carne. They’ve got pudding sorted too with carrot cake, ice cream and other treats.
For a taste of homecooked British favourites, a meal at Munchkins should tick all the right boxes. Any occasion will be even more of a treat for tastecard members who can look forward to exclusive restaurant savings when they call to book ahead and present their cards upon arrival. It’s a good chance to treat themselves to another round, dessert or a starter.

PARID:"Not recommend We went to this place after visiting the museum and we order starter and main courses.
The staff was not speaking English .
To start I order prawns with avocado and the prawns came frozen ( literally ).
My wife order calamari and was the worst fried calamari we ever tried
For main the mussaka that I order was just sauce and not even well cooked . Was not tasty at all and my partner's plate was "roast beef " , the beef was like ham not even beef .
Only the potatoes and bread we could eat .
Definetly one of the worst place we ever have lunch not recommended
Anyone gave us explanation why the food was like that or any compensation"

RBD:"Not inspiring Place quite nice but not good value. Staff ok. Food - husband's ok, mine poor. Only had hot water to drink as only basic tea available, charged £1.50 each for the priviledge. Slapped 10% on top and then took our main off"

Antony:"Nice place for a quick, unfancy pit stop We ordered fish and chips, and it was okay. The fish was heavily battered and reminded me of a deep fried frozen fish fillet. The fish was okay, but a little mushy. However, it wasn't bad and the chips were nice too. I am happy I went with the taste card, it was worth going to have something different from the usual."

Michaela:"No kids menu and they charged 10% tip No kids menu so my daughters meal was very expensive. Also I was shocked how expensive the meal was but my husband gave them a tip anyway. Only after did I find out that 10% had been added to the bill without my knowledge so they got 2 tips out of us"
