Start things off with a taste of the states, with tantalising appetisers like the classic ball park corn dogs, the spicy buffalo wings or from south of the border, everyone’s favourite nachos. As great as the starters can be as snacks, sometimes a little bit extra is needed to satisfy the stomach, yet not so much as to sedate it. Perfect for this level of appetite are the sandwiches, which come with roast beef, roast turkey or as a chicken club.
The main courses highlight some of the best of classic American dishes, with a myriad of mouth-watering burgers and meat heavy choices. Ideal for the carnivorous diner are one of the many succulent steaks, available as a good sirloin, great ribeye, gorgeous fillet or gargantuan Tomahawk cut of beef. Also fresh from the grill are tender, melt-in-the-mouth ribs, both pork and lamb, as well as grilled chickens, all with a choice of accompanying sauces and sides.
Diners not quite in the mood for meat will adore one of the luxurious seafood dishes, including grilled salmon, jumbo prawns and the indulgent lobster. Those vegetarians who aren’t so liberal with their palate can still find something sublime to enjoy, such as one of the veggie friendly burgers, such as the veggie or mushroom and halloumi burgers, one of the refreshing wraps, such as the halloumi or falafel wraps, or one of the delicious salads, such as the roast pepper, cherry tomato and olive oil enriched grilled halloumi.
Anyone fresh into London via Kings Cross should make the Meat House their first stop, as their delectable dishes will have even the most weary of travellers smiling from ear to ear.

SM: " When I ate at this establishment it was quite with only a couple of other tables occupied. The atmosphere/decor, food and service were all impeccable. Highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again"

Kate: " Nice food, appalling service.
My husband, little boy and I arrived late afternoon looking for an early dinner. We were berated at the door for not booking (despite only 4 tables being occupied and the rest of the restaurant being empty. We should have left at that point, but a having a tired child with us, we decided to stay. We were made to feel distinctly unwelcome for using the Tastecard (phrased very much int he negative - 'can't have this, or that', instead of 'can have...')
My husband is gluten free, and neither the waiting staff nor the menu had an indication of what might be suitable for him. We managed to find things by process of guessing and intuition!
We felt we were an inconvenience to the staff throughout the meal. They did not want a child in the building, even one who is very well behaved, playing quietly, sitting well and well used to eating out, or anyone with dietary requirements. We were clearly not 'trendy' enough for the staff. Even our 5 yr old said 'the lady who took our order was rude'!
The food was nice, but in these days of competition it's all about the service, which left a lot to be desired and a rather sour taste in the mouth. I think the staff team need more training on decent customer service and making people feel welcome. The only person who was lovely was the manageress (I think), who came over at the end of the meal, probably sensing something was wrong. She was the only person to acknowledge my son as a person and talk to him directly.
I do a lot of travel to London, and I will never be going back to this establishment."
