Tantalise the taste buds in the contemporary, stylish Chez Mal Brasserie with one of the sublime starters, such as the eclectic tempura of calamari & tiger prawns, paired with a chilli jam, and the rich chicken liver parfait, partnered with a glazed fig & port jelly.

We ordered the crab and scallop risotto in a completely empty restaurant. The waiter came back and confirmed 5 minutes later that we wanted to risotto. However, we were served the Scallop starter and despite explaining it was the wrong thing, we were told "the menu has changed" and the waiter walked away. It took 5-10 minutes of explaining that it was NOT what we had ordered. We eventually got the right dish, we were then charged for the two starters we didn't order.
The setting is nice and the food was tasty but, the staff are completely inept and made us feel like we were in the wrong. There's better places in the area to eat!"

Joey: " We had to leave after the starters.
We booked a table for 9:15 when we entered the restaurant just after 9 the staff were welcoming but there was club music playing (maybe because it was after 9?)
It took us a long time to order our meal and a very long time to get our starters. When they arrived the tuna and wasabi was completely tasteless -- you can get 10 times better stuff from itsu!
The Quail was ok but then we were left staring at our empty plates for 5 - 10 minutes.
By this time we have been there for over an hour and decided to cut our losses.
In all fairness the staff did not cause a fuss when we cancelled our order and happily applied the tastecard discount to our starters."

There was initially some confusion with the taste offer but the manager of the restaurant swiftly resolved the issue with no delay. He was so courteous, kind and funny all the things you need in a great manager. Food was great and I am definately going to return again :)"
