Haozhan is the newest addition to London's China Town. Offering exquisite chinese fusion food with great warmth and charm. Having only opened in June 2007, Haozhan has already earned itself a wave of praise from London's most influential food critics and publications.
After just 2 months, Time Out had already acknowledged Haozhan as one of London's top restaurants. Shortly followed by Fay Maschler (Evening Standard's legendary food critic) rating as one of London's Top 50 restaurants and The Times awarding it as one of London's top 20. With other great reviews from The Observer, Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Independent, Square Meal, Which?, Good Food Guide, it's no doubt that Haozhan is bringing quality oriental food to China Town.
The Haozhan Concept:
Haozhan literally translates to "A great place to eat". The word "Hao" means good or great and "Zhan" is a place where people would meet to eat and drink during the ancient Chinese times, similar to an 'Inn'. These two simple words best describes the Haozhan philosophy for creating good food and good drinks to enjoy in the buzz of a place where people like to meet. The two words in Cantonese also sounds like a phrase that is used to describe something new, trendy and fresh. This again perfectly expresses the innovation and creativity put into both the preparation and presentation of the food and drinks and also the stylish contemporary decor.
If this is your first time here, you might be unfamiliar with their style. It may have crossed your mind to order the usual Aromatic Crispy Duck, or maybe Sweet and Sour Chicken. Although they do value these traditional dishes, the chefs have gone to great lengths to create modern culinary dishes with the aim to surprise, amaze and delight your tastebuds. Afterall, we live to eat, so treat yourself to a memorable meal and allow them to recommend you something special.
If you're still slightly undecided, don't worry, they still put as much effort in the comfort foods to make your meal an exquisite experience.

Based upon feedback from our members we have decided to implement a review facility on the tastecard website. This is a great opportunity for members to share their experiences, both good and bad, with other members. We believe that this is also a fantastic opportunity for our restaurants to assess feedback, and if necessary make improvements and take feedback on-board. Previously, if members wished to review a restaurant they were likely to visit another website to do so. This may have meant that the reviews were less accessible to yourselves, as restaurateurs, and thus you would have been less likely to act upon the review, be it good or bad. By offering the review service on our site we believe that restaurants will benefit from having feedback from our members in one place.
If you object to a review on our site, we will remove it. However, our research has indicated that members are far more likely to visit a restaurant if there are a number of balanced reviews than if all reviews are positive. Please bear this in mind when reading the reviews; if a restaurant only has great reviews then our members are far less likely to trust the reviews and thus are likely to dine elsewhere.
For clarification on any of the above please email restaurantteam@tastecard.co.uk
