I’ve never been made to feel so uncomfortable when entering a restaurant. The restaurant was empty therefore you would’ve expected a better customer service; how wrong could I be. The first thing that was said to me and my partner as we walked in was “taste card?” (I had called to pre-book), no welcome whatsoever. He practically told us where to sit and chucked our menus down on the table. He then came back over and made me show him my taste card before attempting to take any orders, which he didn’t do (i’ve never been made to show card before), i then asked for a drinks menu and he pointed at another table and said “there”, making no effort to grab them for us. He clearly had more important stuff happening in his phone! Following on from that me and my partner decided to leave. As we was putting on our coats, I told him we were leaving, he replied “ok”. As we were leaving, I told him how rude he was and he just glared at us and made no acknowledgement of his behaviour or that he was losing custom. I put it down to either the fact that we are a gay couple, or that we was using taste-card. Awful customer service and awful man!!!!
