Scottmcintosh:"Completely Bizarre !! I perused menu, only when I made my choices, I was advised then of:
The 4 starters they didn’t have.
The 2 main courses they didn’t have.
Waiting staff made no mention of fish of the day.
To me, it seemed like the staff couldn’t be bothered.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely restaurant but you don’t expect to be light of 6 dishes at 19:30 on a Monday, it makes it a slightly underwhelming experience.
I ordered mixed olives - very nicely served with an accompanying garnish... and that’s where it stopped. I waited, waited, waited - we are now at 60 minutes since I sat down, I’ve seen people walk in after me eat their dinner & leave and I’m still there waiting on my main course to arrive - after I had given up waiting and told staff to cancel my main course, there was no excuse given and miraculously I was informed the gammon was ready - not knowing how long it was lying on the passé for, I kindly refused and walked out.
Next time it will be off to the local Weatherspoons for me.."

DCT:"Exceptionally slow service I reserved a table of 6 stating the use of tastecard both through the online booking system and calling them.
Food was of a good quality and we left feeling full. However, service was very slow taking 2 hours for our main courses to arrive. The biggest disappointment was that they only accepted 1 tastecard per table upto a max of 4 people. I explained that at no point was this mentioned whilst booking or in the terms and conditions on the app. Unfortunately, the manager decided to blind face lie saying that If I told him at the start I was using taste card then we could have split the tab into a 4+2 but the ‘system’ wouldn’t allow him to do so at this moment. I gave up the fight in an attempt to preserve what remained of the table’s morale.
In summary, a meal ruined by slow service and terrible tastecard use."

Adrian:"Great Italian food at Scotch Corner Restaurant looks good, food is good and staff are great. If you get too full to drive home you can always sleep over at the Holiday Inn on site.
Good menu choice of standard Italian fair with some British food for those who are less willing to be adventurous."
