A local favourite of Ipswich, Alaturka serves a plethora of delicious dishes, all of which grant a taste of exotic Turkish cuisine.
Established as the sole Turkish cuisine based restaurant in Ipswich, Alaturka certainly provides a niche for local diners, one which they hail as a blessing. Serving as a solid reaffirmation of the local’s love of the restaurant, Alaturka won the ‘All About Ipswich Independent Business of the Year’ award in 2014, which has only driven the staff to excel further.
Utilising only the freshest ingredients and authentic herbs and spices, the dishes at Alaturka are created to both look and taste incredible. All the more reason to visit after exploring Ipswich, either for a hearty lunch after a great shopping trip at the nearby Sailmakers Shopping Centre or as a stomach filler before viewing a show at The Corn Exchange theatre.
The menu is a diverse affair that highlights the delicious nature of Turkish cuisine, with a myriad mouth-watering chicken, lamb, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Some exemplary dishes include the lovingly crafted Alaturka Special, consisting of marinated chunks of lamb and chicken served on a bed of Turkish bread, the scrumptious tavuk sis, a skewered chicken that has been marinated and cooked over charcoals, and the tantalising Levrek, pan fried fillets of marinated seabass coated with olive oil and a garlic sauce.
Catering to one and all, the chefs at Alaturka will happily alter their dishes to any dietary requirement should the diner require so, meaning everyone can enjoy a sumptuous feast at Alaturka.
