Vicky: " Delightful pre-threatre dinner. French menu, good value French wines, French owner, French waiters.Very French. Interesting art on the walls and crystal lighting. One downer is B&B guests check in in the restaurant, which was distracting ... We'll be back."

Andrew: " This is the dining room of one of the many B&B hotels that fill the attractive terraced streets near the seafront. Not in a location to pick up 'passing trade' we were the only diners on a Sunday evening. The ambience was pleasant, low key, and certainly not as 'posh' as I had expected from their website. Service was willing and friendly but not stylish, and you don't need to dress in your 'Sunday best'. The food was good though I would say not quite 'fine dining'. We particularly enjoyed the locally-caught scallop dish. The snails starter did not appear to be made with fresh snails, and its garlic sauce was disappointing. Other main dishes (chicken and hake) were fine.
We enjoyed a relaxed quiet meal with quality food and have no hesitation in recommending it. Exellent value at Tastecard price, and we enjoyed the selections of bottled beers on offer too."
