We decided to visit this well-known Indian restaurant , following previous recommendations from close and local friends , who claimed that it would be worth a visit.
As always concern , when it comes to explore a truly pleasurable experience while visit an Indian Restaurant , based upon time of table turn over , lack of choices to understand a complicated menu , wich normaly has por discription, or no particular patience to explain either to our fellow dinners or server, that we don't like the idea of sweat our socks off and hate that burn sensation on our tongues while savouring , with rush its endless espices blends and textures.
Dispite our bad experiences, we love the challenge and are very open minded when comes to explore diferent flavours and opportunities to develop and educate our tingling pallet.
So , with spare time , we choose to visit during a early evening, on Wednesday to avoid those not so pleasant experiences above and just over a quick call , we had our table reserved , previously mentioning that we would be using our TASTE CARD.
Arriving on time, the place has a very pleasant athmosphere, with tables well placed, beautiful cockery and tableware perfectly displayed. Immediately approached by our waiter, whom dispite seems welcoming , was direct to thr point offering the menu and requesting to see our TASTECARD even before we took our seat.
Maybe apprehensive, we try to get into the mood and browse its wild selection of dishes, described with precision and very informative way. It is a great relief to those like us ,who hate to spoil food, have an average appetite and adventurous palate.
It means that I rather try something new, instead the usual chicken korma massala and basmati rice combo.
We choose a beautiful plated onion bharji and puri chicken chaat as starter , follow by a absolutely succulent and generous portion of Malayan King Prawn , and basmati rice to share as my friend choose to heat up his meal with a Ceylon Chicken Tikka .
We shared a portion of coleflower and bombay potatoes, but guess it would be better to choose only the rice , as the portion were enough to satisfy both of us easily as we washed it all down with an ice cold Cobra beer and unashamedly left , caring a cheecky dog bag in the end , as we thought would be a crime to waste those delicious sweet and sour flavours balanced with pineapple, coconut and succulent king prawns butterfly from our main dish.
