Gerry:"Disappointing Having frequented this Restaurant regularly some years ago, I booked a table for 4 people for 8pm last Saturday.
We arrived on time, the Restaurant was heaving with diners & customers waiting for takeaways.
We were requested to have a seat near the door for 10 minutes or so & then shown to our table. After poppadoms and drinks we ordered our main meal (no starters) & waited & waited & waited!
Having called over our waiter, we were advised that our main course would arrive within 5 minutes!
Our meal finally arrived at 10.05pm virtually 2 hours after we sat down!
The excuses from the Proprietor were sad and although we were offered a free drink on the house, it was far too late. A 10% discount was deducted from the final bill, but this was a small gesture & we all would have preferred a decent service!
We will not be rushing back, although I have no doubt that the Panahar will continue to do well as the food is good & many diners will just keep drinking alcohol while they wait - or was that the idea with us?"
