This family-run venue has been run by the Keane’s for an astonishing 3 centuries, with it originally being taken over way back in 1641! Today is it is run and managed by Michael and Bridie, an extremely hard-working couple with a very hands on approach to business. Bridie takes pride in baking the bread and creating delicious desserts, while daughters Aisling and Lorraine manage the restaurant. From the moment you visit you are made to feel right at home, and can enjoy personal service throughout your whole dining experience.
The menu includes a selection of oysters that are served on a bed of salad with fresh brown bread, and delicious coated mushrooms with a garlic dip. Another seafood option is the crab claws prawn cocktail, cooked to perfection using the appropriate seasoning to bring out all the best flavours. Main courses include a selection of steaks, as well as the mouth-watering chicken Veronique in quite wine sauce.
