2 for 1 at The Culinaire - Bexhill

An enchanting addition to the Bexhill dining scene, The Culinaire offers guests a contemporary look at a host of Indian delights.

Now accepting the tastecard, members visiting with their card can enjoy everything at The Culinaire at a sublime price, even without calling in advance.

Spearheaded by Chef Kuldeep, the menu at The Culinaire is awash with sensational dishes made using only the freshest seasonal produce and the finest exotic ingredients. Each dish is utterly resplendent and presented in a truly tantalising manner.

Begin with one of the sublime starters such as the sumptuous king prawns, smoked with frankincense and paired with a beetroot puree, the heavenly Bhuna Kabootar, smoked breast of pigeon enriched with garlic cloves, caramelised cashew nuts and pigeon pate, and the delectable Parsnip Shaami, a spiced parsnip, chickpea and potato cake paired with a tamarind sauce.

The opulent offerings continue through to the main courses, catering to all tastes, even those who may not be fans of traditional Indian cuisine. Particularly merit worthy meals include the succulent pan grilled venison, complete with poached beetroot, black peppercorns and a guave sauce, the hearty Khumb Moilee, a slow cooked Portobello mushroom stuffed with goats cheese, spiced courgette and chopped spinach, and the scrumptious locally caught fish, which varies daily depending on what’s freshest.

Delightfully simple albeit with a touch of the sublime, the interior of The Culinaire sets the scene for all occasions and caters to them with the utmost hospitality.

" We visited Culinaire for the first time on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was smart and inviting. It was difficult to choose from a limited menu - all the dishes sounded creative and inventive - no bhuna, jalfrezi or korma on this menu! After making our choices we were each presented with a complimentary dumpling, made from chick peas I think, it was very light and tasty. We were then surprised with a little teacup of tomato soup - a warm and slightly spicy soup. Our main dishes were beautifully presented, works of art on a plate. Two of us chose partridge - perfectly cooked on a bed of lentils. We all agreed the flavours were wonderful and our dining experience had been a real treat. Sadly I can't comment on the atmosphere as we were the only diners in so it was very quiet, but we enjoyed very attentive service from the young waiter and were introduced to the chef Kuldeep Raj at the end of our meal. We praised him for creating some very special dishes and wished him well with restaurant - it deserves to be successful. I urge you to visit Culinaire - it is no run of the mill Indian, you won't be disappointed. "

I most highly recommend chef Kuldeep Raj's new restaurant The Culinaire in Bexhill, East Sussex.
You may remember Kuldeep from the Saturday Flea market and his very popular Indian Streetfood stall at the The Observer Building. Kuldeep's new venture really takes it up a notch and the food is just totally amazing and sublime! You MUST TRY!
‪#‎theculinaire‬ is serving the most delicious and beautiful food - much of it locally sourced, wild and organic. There is also a really top notch wine and cocktail menu.
The Culinaire is very, very special and I think it will quickly turn into one of those places round here in which it becomes difficult to get a table without booking in advance. So whilst the restaurant in new, get in there fast and book a table like....NOW:
