Whether guests are looking for a few bites to go with some tantalising drinks or they’re seeking something to quell a ravenous stomach everyone should be able to find something utterly scrumptious at the Princes Bar.

A few examples of the latter can be seen in such selections as the heavenly pumpkin & Ricotta tortellini, complete with spinach, mushrooms and a white wine & cream sauce, and the classic IPA beer battered haddock, served with twice cooked chips, mushy peas and a tartare sauce.

    The restaurant looks tired, as your first impression. It could sorely do with an update to its out-of-date decorations.

    We ordered drinks, my husband appletizer and I asked if there was san pellegrino, to which we got affirmatives, but we were brought off brand drinks. I don't mind if they don't have brands, but I would have ordered differently had I known.

    We waited a long time to order food, and once it came I was also disappointed. My curry wasn't much better than a supermarket microwave meal, and though the poppadoms were tasty, I think I could also buy them in the crisp isle. Barely worth the price even with the taste card, nevermind without.

    Service was also disappointing and the bathrooms were needing a good bleach. Disappointed about much of our visit. "
