When the Nayaab Indian restaurant first opened its doors in 1981, the public perception of Indian food was that the girls ate Korma and the boys wolfed down Madras or Vindaloo - accompanied by copious quantities of lager. Some brave hearts even took on the dreaded Phal, much to the amusement of waiters all over the country. Throughout the 1980's and 90's, however, a revolution occurred.
Through the gentle introduction of more and more authentic dishes from the subcontinent, more discerning palates have developed. Many have discovered Nayaab. The menu at Nayaab is balanced between the need to maintain genuine all time favourites and the urge to explore new styles of cuisine. Nayaab is proud to present the best of both worlds.
Chef's Speciality Dish:
"Barrahan Kadi Murg" Chicken Twelve "Kadi"
This unique blend of yoghurt-based yellow curry, 'Kadi Sauce' is amorously enhanced by twelve separate spices and herbs, subtly added at various stages of cooking. Tender breast of chicken stuffed with delicately spiced garlic mushrooms, simmered in the 'Twelve Kadi Sauce'. A mild yet temperamental delicacy!

Tom:"A local delight that deserves serious attention I have been ordering at Nayaab for over ten years and can vouch for consistently delicious and generous cooking. As they've recently refurbished and take Tastecard I cannot recommend them highly enough. Please support them!
Do not mistake Nayaab for another high street Indian restaurant. While you can get typical UK Indian dishes (cooked brilliantly) the focus at Nayaab is on more authentic Punjabi dishes and boy do they do it well. It is skillful cooking that surprises, delights and fulfils.
Their spice blends are delicately balanced with no two dishes tasting similar so you never bore of the menu. The meat is well sourced, generous and always cooked spot on. The clever menu and consistent quality means every choice is a good one but my favourites include:
Lamb (shank) Nihari
Bhartha bringal smokey aubergine
Malayee kofte paneer
Butter chicken
Enjoy!"

Mike: " Had an awful experience here in this strange, dated and eerie place ran by a rude set of staff.
The dining area was awful and unclean, with dated decorations covering the room and no music at all meaning you could hear eachothers conversations quite clearly. Where you eat is not pictured on the webpage here, that's the front of the restaurant. you are walked down a corridor into a small square space with tables that is so dated, it had Xmas decorations up still and this was in June.
The food was average but when my gf's food had a fly in it, that we pointed out, they refused to take it off the bill or replace it, so she sat there with nothing while i ate what i could stomach after guessing what the kitchen is like. The waiter went back and forth with a rude manager/owner in the other room who refused to come and discuss my complaint and said despite the fly, they refused to take anything off the bill, even a naan bread or poppadoms as we had 'Used a taste card so money is already taken off'. Our bill for two people came to 50 quid so the whole thing was ridiculous.
Avoid at all costs this disgraceful establishment."

Jamie:"Very Tasty Indian Food Really delicious curries for a reasonable price, especially when tastecard is included. Food arrived very quickly, staff were very helpful and there was no problem using the tastecard, which covered starters and mains. Slightly lacking in the ambience department (mainly due to the restaurant being so empty, which is no fault of the owners). Will definitely go again"
