Now one of three La Cave a Fromages to open in the south of England, this South Kensington establishment was the very first to open its doors back in 2007. A hugely successful enterprise born out of a passion for fine cheese and charcuterie, La Cave a Fromage in South Kensington is the brainchild of dynamic duo Amnon Paldi and Eric Charriaux. Following their success with sister wholesale company Premier Cheese, suppliers to some of the finest restaurants in the UK, Paldi and Charriaux decided to bring their fabulous products to a wider audience.
Although mainly a shop, La Cave a Fromage South Kensington offers a superb menu to sample. The French Connection platter is one well worth sampling with saucisson Pyrenees, jambon Bayonne with Camembert de Normandie, Comté Grand Reserve and Fourme d’Ambert all featuring.
Warm dishes include a mouth-watering La Cave Raclette with roasted potatoes, pancetta, garlic and herbs topped with melted Raclette and served with cornichons and charcuterie whilst salads such as Roquefort, pear, toasted walnuts and baby leave in a balsamic vinaigrette are perfect for summer days.
Located just a minute from South Kensington underground station and a stone’s throw from the Natural History, V&A and Science Museums, La Cave a Fromage boasts an enviable London location. Popular amongst locals who pop in for their cheese and bread and a haven for hungry visitors, La Cave a Fromage is a brilliant deli and café.
