Found between some of Lewisham’s greatest sight-seeing spots, such as the London Sivan Kovil Temple and the Lewisham Clock Tower, is the enchanting Italian eatery known as Bella Roma.
Every dish made by the talented chefs at Bella Roma feature only the freshest ingredients, allowing diners to savour that sumptuous, authentic Italian experience. Start the meal with a sharing experience, with special sharing dishes and starters making for ideal finger foods. Tantalising examples of these appetisers include the eclectic Antipasto for Two, a rich selection of Italian meats and mozzarella, the enticing Calamari Sale e Pepe, calamari bites lightly fried until golden, and the scrumptious Mozzarella in Carrozza, delicious deep fried, breadcrumb coated mozzarella.
As expected from an Italian restaurant, there’s a plethora of pizzas, pastas and salads, such as the classic Caesar salad, the beloved Penne Salmone and the veggie friendly Quattro Formaggi. There’s also sections of the menu for less conventional Italian mains as well as a special seafood section, both of which contain delights like the delicious Grigliata Di Pesce Misto, an excellent ensemble of whitebait, seabass, sardines and cod, the succulent fillet steak, served with sautéed potatoes, and the hearty homemade hamburger.
For those who’d like a little bit extra on the side there are plenty of fantastic contorni, or side dishes, available to keep things fresh, including the Insalata Di Pomodoro, a tomato salad tossed with red onions, and a mixture of seasonal vegetables and potatoes in the form of the Vegatali Del Giorno.
Bella Roma is incredibly close to the Lewisham Shopping Centre, which makes it the first port of call for great food after an extensive shopping trip. There’s stores there for all walks of life, and since the gigantic menu at Bella Roma features countless Italian delicacies alongside some great grilled dishes, there’s bound to be something for everyone to enjoy.
