As if there weren’t enough reasons to go to Drayton Manor Theme Park, the Drayton Manor Hotel found within its grounds hosts a spectacular restaurant; the Parklands Bar and Restaurant.
Admission to Drayton Manor Theme Park isn’t essential to dine at the Drayton Manor Hotel’s Parklands Bar and Restaurant, though since it is right next door it would make for a fantastic day out with family or friends. The Parklands Bar and Restaurant would also be a logical spot for some great food if guests did visit the nearby theme park, especially as the tastecard discount grants members 2 for 1 on starters, mains and desserts.
Even those simply seeking a few drinks at the bar area would be wise to utilise their tastecard discount for some fantastic bar bites, with nibbles including the varied Nut Jar and the bowl of nachos as well as the sides, like the garlic ciabatta with cheese, beer battered onion rings and sweet potato fries with aioli. Also certainly worth considering are the sharing boards, which come with various spreads and make for fantastic conversation starters.
However, diners settling in for a meal are in for a treat, as there are plenty of delectable dishes that are sure to satisfy. Start with something exquisite, such as the tantalising pan seared scallops, complete with an apple butter puree and a ham hock croquette, the rich deep fried Somerset brie, coated in Panko breadcrumbs and paired with a plum and ginger chutney, and the enticing salt beef salad.
Utterly fantastic main courses follow, with selections ranging from grilled meats to refreshing pasta dishes. Fresh from the grill are some excellent mains, including a succulent 8oz ribeye steak and a divine swordfish steak, while the pasta section contains delights like the scrumptious roasted vegetable, stilton and onion tart and the heavenly pappardelle pasta, garnished with sun blushed tomatoes, olives and parmesan.
Sample some classic British dishes reinvented with luxurious twists like the enchanting venison sausage and mash, partnered with caramelised button onions and port gravy, and the irresistible trio of pork, a tenderloin with crispy skin wrapped in prosciutto, a pork and sage fritter and fondant potato.
Whatever the reason to be in the area be sure to visit the Parklands Bar and Restaurant for a truly sublime meal.
