Lebanese cuisine has really found its place on the UK dining scene over recent years, offering a fresh, healthy and most of all tasty array of dishes.
Located in the Surrey town of Weybridge, Mazzat Lebanese is a fantastic new restaurant and grill showcasing the very best in Lebanese cooking to diners of the commuter belt town. Nestled within the town centre, the restaurant is a great choice for locals looking for somewhere to eat out, whilst providing visitors to the town with good reason to go there.
The kitchen really does know their stuff when it comes to the cooking of traditional Lebanese food and the menu offers a wide array of classic dishes from the homeland, all available to tastecard members at a fabulous discount when they call in advance with their card. Start with a couple of tasty mezze such as the nutty Muhamarava with fried walnuts, almonds, pistachios and breadcrumbs crushed with dried herbs or the Kibbeh Maklieh with deep fried cracked wheat paste filled with minced lamb and onion. Main courses include a divine grilled sea bass topped with spicy tomato sauce and served with white rice, or aubergine filled with minced lamb and onions that is baked in a tomato sauce. The charcoal grill serves up some storming dishes, the highlight being the Mazzat assorted mixed grill with kofta, taouk, lamb fillet and lamb cutlets.
Traditional it may be with the menu, but Mazzat Lebanese is a stylish and chic dining room. Crisp white linens sit atop the tables and contemporary furnishings rest on stripped wooden floors. The stone wall on one side is an attractive feature, adding a little of the old into a very contemporary dining room.
