The seaside town of Eastbourne has changed significantly over recent years and has transformed from an oldie’s seaside resort into a destination for everyone to enjoy regardless of age.
Its restaurant scene has changed drastically over the last few years too, with an increase in more upmarket eateries opening their doors to cater for the new demands.
Butlers restaurant is one of those, a lovely restaurant serving an impressive menu of Modern British cuisine. Located conveniently close to Eastbourne train station and just a short walk from the pretty seafront, Butlers offers a stellar menu of exciting Modern British dishes – all of which are available to tastecard members at a magnificent discount when they call in advance with their card.
Start off on a good foot with the delicious chicken livers on toast served with caramelised onions, toasted ciabatta, chicken gravy and streaky bacon or the amazing cod and chorizo fishcakes with a tomato and lime relish. To follow, the organic lamb neck fillet with a herb crust from the local Highland’s Farm is highly recommended, served with pea puree, dauphinoise potatoes, rosemary and red currant jus and roasted pickled beetroots. If you prefer fish, try the amazing pan fried wild stone bass with a warm potato salad, spring onion, sautéed cucumber, spinach, basil and a brown shrimp and brandy sauce. White chocolate panna cotta with strawberry gel and a white chocolate crumb rounds a meal off to perfection.
Thick oak tables, wooden floors and neutral cream walls act as a stylish canvas for such outstanding food at Butlers. A real treat for Eastbourne foodies, Butlers is a restaurant well worth sampling.
Please note: The discount is not available in December. You must also book in advance to be entitled to the discount.
