A family run restaurant first opened in the late 70’s, Jolly’s is well known and much loved by the locals in Whitton.
Now accepting the tastecard, everything on the a la carte menu at Jolly’s is available at an excellent price when members call in advance with their card.
Kick start the meal with one of the exemplary appetisers, such as the juicy king prawn butterfly, fried until golden with a breadcrumb coating, the scrumptious tandoori mushrooms, marinated in Jolly’s secret recipe and grilled in a clay oven, and the eclectic Mixed Starter, a medley of various tandoori style delights.
There’s a cornucopia of classic curries that are available for the traditionalists, with a wealth of Balti, korahi and biryani dishes available alongside some safe choices in the English section, such as various omelettes, though there are some uncommon dishes for those with a more adventurous palate.
A mere handful of the chef’s special dishes includes the inferno conjuring Lal Mirch, a chicken based dish with a plethora of red chillies, the smooth Lamb Passanda, cooked with red wine and almonds, and the tantalising Golden Special, half a grilled chicken partnered with minced meat and fresh cream.
As one might expect from any curry house worth its salt, there are plenty of veggie friendly options available, all walks of life can find something to make them happy at Jolly’s.
Please Note: The restaurant is closed on Mondays. The tastecard discount is not available on Bank Holidays or on Celebration Days including, but not limited to, Valentine's Day, Mothering Sunday, Father's Day, etc.
