A delightful little pub and restaurant that can be found on Bishopric in the idyllic Sussex market town of Horsham, The Olive Branch offers a warm welcome to all that cross the threshold.
This invitation is extended to tastecard members, who are able to enjoy all of the exquisite fare served on their a la carte menu at a fantastic price, leaving a little bit extra in the pocket for a tipple or two from their extensive drinks menu.
Serving a menu that is primarily made up of British classics, with a few tantalising dishes from further afield thrown in, The Olive Branch is fit to entice any palate and satisfy any appetite. Beginning with one of the sumptuous starters, from a selection that includes a glorious plate of pan-fried king prawns that is wonderfully contrasted by a delectable wild mushroom adorned sourdough toast, and moving right through to any of the scrumptious options to follow, diners are sure to be enchanted from the first mouthful until the last.
Moving forward, the selection of mouth-watering main courses leave absolutely nothing to be desired, with a medley of delicious choices being readily available. Particularly tempting examples of such can be seen in the heavenly rack of baby back pork ribs, coated in a divine Jack Daniel’s barbecue sauce, the lip-smacking Butcher’s sausages, accompanied by buttery mashed potato, peas and a red onion gravy, and the traditional favourite that is the beer battered cod fillet, which comes complete with hand cut chips and mushy peas.
Sat just a hop, skip and a jump away from the High Weald Area of Natural Beauty, and within a short drive of the South Downs National Park and the picturesque Surrey Hills, The Olive Branch is a fine place to visit before, during or after day of exploration.
