Found on Liverpool Road in the Castlefield area of Manchester, Sapporo Teppanyaki is a wondrous eatery that provides diners with a fabulous food selection based around the Pan Asian and Japanese cuisines.
Now accepting the tastecard, members are able to partake in all of the sumptuous fare at a fantastic price when they call in advance, leaving plenty in the pocket for a beverage or two from an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list.
As with many sublime Japanese eateries, sushi and sashimi play a major role in what Sapporo Teppanyaki has to offer, with the likes of the pickled mackerel incorporated Saba, the tanuki sushi of cucumber, carrot and wild brown sushi rice filled sweet bean pockets, and a glorious soft shell crab number making for just three divine examples.
For those less partial to a spot of sushi, or with a slightly more indulgent appetite, there are a number of larger plates available that promise to satisfy. Particularly enticing examples of such can be seen in the flavoursome beef sukiyaki, finely sliced sirloin steak with shirataki noodles, tofu, seasonal greens and shiitake mushrooms, the scrumptious duck breast, served with either a raspberry, barbecue or teriyaki sauce, and the succulent 10oz prime Scotch rump steak.
Sat just a stone’s throw away from the likes of the Manchester Opera House and the Museum of Science and Industry, Sapporo Teppanyaki makes for the ideal setting for a marvellous repast before a show or after a day of activity.
Please Note: The tastecard discount is not available on any tasting menu, throughout December, on Bank Holidays or on Celebration Days including, but not limited to, Valentine's Day, Mothering Sunday, Father's Day, etc.
