Like a charming snapshot of Camden culture, Gabeto is a vibrant and welcoming venue that caters well to all kinds of occasions.
Now accepting the tastecard, members calling in advance can enjoy everything on the eclectic menu at an excellent price.
Truly rocking the Camden style, renowned artist John Bulley, famous for the Camden Lock bridge, has adorned the walls with bespoke feature murals, which are featured side by side with gallery art and work well with the rest of the eclectic décor of the first floor restaurant.
Spearheaded by the talented Head Chef Lee Andrews, the kitchen is awash with tantalisingly fresh flavours that showcase some inspired dishes. This is evident from the very first bite, with sublime starters such as the refreshing mango salad, tossed with coconut and roasted walnuts, and the rich ham hock terrine, partnered with toasted sourdough and a choron sauce.
Equally as exquisite are the main courses, which encompass all manners of internationally inspired delights. Outstanding examples of such include the sumptuous cider brined chicken, paired with an apple & kohlrabi coleslaw, and the exemplary brill steak, served with asparagus, samphire and a citrus sauce.
Utterly charming from the inside and out, diners in the Camden area should consider visiting Gabeto, for their fantastic al fresco terrace if nothing else. This area works wonders as a venue to spend some time in enjoying after-dinner drinks, which incidentally act as incredible indulgences obtained from those superb savings made with a tastecard.
