" Well, after the previous visit, at the end of a long hard working weekend, we decided to check out the Yak & Yeti again to make sure that last time wasn't a fluke.

Well, it wasn't. We went very early on Sunday evening (1730) and had another superb experience. The added benefit this time is that we knew the sort of food produced better and ordered (too much) with better knowledge.

Once again, the service was exceptional and the food equally as good. I don't know how they manage to produce such tender lamb, but they do. The other nice thing was that the restaurant got quite busy before we left, and that a lot of the customers were of Asian extraction...

Well done Y&Y, you have now guaranteed regular customers! "

" We drive past this restaurant every day, and its location has been a bit off putting, but as it's on Tastecard we decided to give it a go on a Sunday evening. \well, are we glad we did!

The service was excellently attentive (just the right level). Poppadums were beautiful, with four great dips, which change on a regular basis (apparently). I mentioned I love tamarind, and a couple of seconds later there was a small container of said dip appeared!

We ordered Tandoori lamb chops and fried chicken mo-mo's to start, which were served absolutely exquisitely with different accompaniments spread artistically around the plate. The lamb was perfectly tender, beautifully marinated giving an amazing flavour. The mo-mo's (a bit like Japanes gyosos) were also brilliant. In hindsight, we should have photographed them, but omitted to - the plates were that striking.

My wife had Tandoori chicken with coconut rice, and I had Nepalese lamb with saffron pilau. Again, both were superb. My lamb was succulently tender and the sauce (including sweetcorn) was magnificent, and my wife's chicken was equally superb.

We saved £14 using the card, but the value at full price was really good.

It wasn't a "run-of-the-mill" Indian at all, with the Nepalese (and other regional cuisines) providing very interesting taste sensations that are more than worth trying.

We will be going back!!!! "
