Bringing a tantalising selection of Indian flavours to the Pudsey area of Leeds, East provides the curry patrons of the area a truly sublime dining experience.
Everything cooked at the stylish and contemporary restaurant is made using only the best in locally sourced ingredients, serving to ensure quality and freshness whilst enhancing the enjoyment of the meal.
Considering the fantastic discounts offered to tastecard members when they call in advance, it seems almost criminal not to indulge in a two or three course feast. This seems even more apparent upon the perusal of the scrumptious starters, where the familiar staples of the onion bhaji, pakora and the samosa can be found alongside a glorious prawn puri and a delightful daal soup in a selection that promises to whet the appetite in style for the delectable main course options to come.
From the fiery vindaloo to the mild and creamy korma, the traditional curries at East are able to hit each end of the spice spectrum in wonderful fashion, while the specialties allow for something outside of that metaphorical Indian box and give diners a peek into the mind of the chef. Particularly enticing examples of such can be found in the Nasser Bhai, prime chicken mince cooked dry in a Kashmiri style and served best on a sizzling plate, the papa seabass, a glorious seabass marinated in a masala sauce and infused in a range of herbs and spices, and the keema achari, lamb mince cooked in a tangy sour sauce.
Whether it’s for an intimate evening with the significant other, or a catch up with a close friend, all are offered a warm welcome at East.
Please note: The tastecard discount is not available on bank holidays or celebration days - including Valentines Day, Mothering Sunday, Father's Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The discount is also unavailable throughout December. You must book in advance at least 2 hours before dining and mention the tastecard to be entitled to the discount. The discount is only redeemable against the A La Carte menu.
