First opened in 1984, and proudly independent since 2005 The New Conservatory has always been one of Leeds’s favourite bars.
Inspired greatly by the serene ambience of libraries, those venturing inside The New Conservatory are sure to relax when surrounded by walls of books and in plush, comfortable chairs and sofas.
Now accepting the tastecard, members who call in advance can secure a superb discount off all dishes. The menu is just made for those that love traditional British cuisine and boasts a range of dishes that are fit to suit any appetite.
Start the meal, or merely accompany a few drinks, with one of our exemplary appetisers, such as the rich homemade breaded Brie, partnered with home baked bread and a fruit chutney, the tantalising homemade tortilla nachos, adorned with Cheddar, jalapenoes and available with pulled pork, and the irresistible crispy baby calamari, complete with courgetti and lemon mayonaise.
Continue onto the main courses, where a wealth of choice awaits all walks of life. Merit worthy meals include the hearty battered halloumi burger, topped with tomatoes, salad leaves and a sweet chilli sauce, the delectable tandoori chicken skewer, served with mixed leaves and a mint yogurt, and the classic beer battered haddock and thick cut chips, paired with mushy peas and a tartare sauce.
Also serving some truly heavenly desserts, as well as a specially crafted menu for kids, all walks of life are sure to enjoy their stay at The New Conservatory.
