" My goodness this was a bad meal. I previously adored this place, even though i had heard a plethora of bad reviews. The starter was mediocre, but worse was the sour cream, teaspoon of guacamole and flavourless salsa cooked, yes cooked, UNDER the cheese on the nachos - as in the whole thing - lettuce and all, baked. Can we please take a moment to think about that?! Served on an ex-school lunch plate there was absolutely no taste of Mexico (may have something to do with the microwave 'dinging' just before our meals are served) Then the main came, we should have left, I knew we should have quit while we were ahead but no, greed and curiousity got the better of me. The quesadillas tasted exactly like a cheese and onion pastie from Greggs, no no, the pound bakery, although, the pound bakery doesn't add a spoon of guacamole for that je be sais quoi - cooked inside again?! Why are you determined to bake your condiments, remind me not to order mayonnaise! Served along side packet PILAU rice with chopped frozen veg in HAHAHAHAHAHA, ahem, excuse me, I laugh every time! We were 'assured' it weren't packet rice and so I did ask the waitress why the chef would add finely diced frozen veg to the mix then, to which she had no answer. After we questioned the reliability of the rice, we were ignored like the plague, the children weren't offered their desserts, the plates weren't cleared and so we sat for 20 minutes with our coats on (there was 1 other couple in there and 2staff members) before we eventually gave up waiting and paid at the till. She was rude, and had she had no intellectual limitations she was boardering on condescending. Overall a 1, and that's for the fact it was BACHELORS packet rice and not the Asda's own - I defo recognise the taste. Please Fuegos, sort it out. You had a strong reputation but your latest rep will precede the rest should you continue serving poor, flavourless food, from employees not chefs under the pretence of authentic Mexican food - believe it or not, people expect exactly what it says on the tin!
